Don't believe any of it for a second. You know the websites that help you juice Strava GPS data? Same thing exists for Robinhood web interfaces.
But the fact they're on Tik Tok about it in the first place (whether real or not) is bad enough to doom them

VIX is weirdly low, just 23.
Which suggests complacency despite the current volatility.
Weird. I'd expect more people to be frightened by big moves.
I'd usually think that a low vix and high volatility would mean stock prices will fall short term.
We'll see. Who knows.
Or maybe really there isn't much volatility. Just seems that we've had some bigger than usual swings here. And bonds are cratering, so there suddenly is an alternative to stocks, with bonds now yielding more than they used to.
In all seriousness though - rates aren't even that high. 10Y T yields were like +3% before the pandemic and stocks were flying back then as well.
As for VIX - let's just remember that this is what happens now. 2020 saw like multiple 5% sell-offs just because, only to immediately regain. Random volatility like that is just how it is now
VIX up to 30 now. Mid to high 30s is buy time.

Not sure what your point is? You sound like the guy that's been short on Tesla and just won't give up.
Dude, you sound like you're long TSLA, and got hurt today.
Hussman HSGFX up 2.13% today, by the way.

Unfortunately I have never bought a single share of Tesla..............but that may change tomorrow. I guess if I had to choose a side I would take the long view.
And generally if you are "long" an 8% drop isn't exactly getting "hurt."
Everything I have went down today.
Amazon, Apple, Costco, VOO
Lost over $300 US

So this panic is about the 10 year treasury note yield spiking? Isn't that a problem that should fix itself by increasing demand for the now-cheap 10 year treasury notes?
All these people that sold their equities, what are they buying instead? Rather have cash than a bond with a nice yield?

No. That’s not how it works.
