How can anyone say BLM is 'ridiculous?'
Its belief is that cops kill and abuse black people out of proportion, and the cops are rarely punished for it. Black people have been demonstrating against exactly that for generations.
I don't see how anyone could be against BLM.
Unless you start making up stuff about BLM 'charters' and calling them 'marxist' and garbage like that.
I'd love it if our police force was held accountable. I get held accountable for my job, why shouldn't they? It's got everything Republicans hate - fraud (they're always complaining about welfare fraud and voter fraud so they must really hate fraud!) and an actual case of an evil union ripping off the tax payers. That's why pretty much all of America is behind this.
That being said, BLM does have a strong Marxist faction within it. That doesn't mean they aren't right about cops of course. A lot of "social justice warrior" groups take their cues from traditional Marxist historical analysis. Things like post-colonialism, critical theories, and late-stage Capitalism are pretty much directly from Marx's writings (see also : the Frankfurt school), but over the years some of his apologists have twisted the original interpretations and writings so much that I don't think anyone knows what modern Marxism even is.
The original Marxist theories as in Das Kapital are pretty much laughed at as nothing more than grumpy amateur self-contradicting horsesh!t
