I use Amazon a lot and so does the rest of the family. By any standards, they hit it right out of the park. I won't bore you with all the reasons but it just doesn't make sense to shop around, if Amazon has it, it's a no-brainer, just get it.
The only exception might be that if you don't mind taking a little more risk, buying some things off ebay can save enough money to make it worth it. I'm talking about new stuff. But all the bells and whistles that are taken for granted with Amazon, like speed of shipping, convenient return policies, etc. are lacking significantly on ebay.
One that might be under appreciated right now may be Costco- been doing just a lot of home delivery of their groceries in this stay at home Covid era. Insta-cart is their delivery service.
I love Costco ... but had one recent experience that surprised me. Needed a box of dog dental chew bones and was going to order online, but then my wife needed gas and a few things so decided to drive there.
With Covid, decided she’d go in while I gassed up. She didn’t know what the dog bones looked like, so I went to costco.com and texted her a picture. Turns out the online price was $34.99 and the in-store price was $22.99.
I was rather shocked (I had noticed the little blurbs about in-store price might be different, but had no idea it could be of that magnitude).
