As for you question, a few months ago a big shift happened and like most if not almost all the online brokerages took up a no-fee trading model. THere is a fee but it's just pennies, literally.
I know the big boys like Ameritrade, Schwab, and i think most of the others were forced into this trying to stay competitive with the market.
So, no, no fees, but there's probably a few limitations, like minimum balance requirements and some limits on frequent (day) trading.
If you are new to this, be warned, it may sound easier than it really is. For all intents and purposes, if any of us do better than break even, that's about the best we could hope for.
