Like 2018, 2019 will have a negative return.
Will it be the Big One...or will that be deferred another year?

Why take a chance. We know it's never to early to prepare.
I wouldn’t get too worried. The power structure controls the market, as some here have said, and the Fed has your back. So just buy on the dip regardless of the price. Look at 130 years of market history as your guide. If you live long enough you’ll come out fine.

A negative yielding bond does not guarantee a loss...that's ignorant.
in a deflationary situation, negative yielding bonds will be profitable.
And in this time of low growth/low inflation...deflation isn't a crazy prediction.

Sure, but how likely is that to happen for the mass of negative yielding bonds. And if that was to happen what would be the outcome for stocks? I think the point was you have a loss principal that is assured, yet most are ignoring the greater risk in stocks.

No one is ignoring the risks. On the other hand, permabears like you continue to ignore the benefits.
There will be few benefits over the next ten years.
Thanks for proving my point.
so even with this 16 month trading range, stocks under trump have still gone up in the 9-11% per year range. (annualized).
hard to budge this stock market off its long course. 10 years of going through tough times and still it persists.

No, you just are another inexperienced and delusional investor that will learn the hard way.

wait, I thought we were muppets to the big houses and we shouldn't trust anything they say.
Well as you know the industry is driven by the cult of equity. Buy and hold of course, regardless of price.
Good piece on where we stand technically:
