I'm just glad he's back. Its fun watching him get slapped around the track by Andrews.

Ouch. That does seem like a long time ago.

THANK YOU! FINALLY! That was the one!
Hey, Lynn
No one cares about your infatuation with Wheating...
he won NCAA titles.
Wheating is one guy who could really do big things in track if he simply grows up and starts living a more disciplined lifestyle. I could see him running 3:27.xx if he goes NOP.
I hope Wheating does not read these boards
But if he does, if Andrews ever raced him at 1000M, he would be lit up again
I mean come on now Andrews who could hardly finish a mile race indoors ran 2:17.x , so did Rutt
wow he looked like a Beast!!
so much at the end, I think he is back!
Who's Wheating?
Wow, even knowing the result I didn't think he could make it all up with 80 to go. Crazy.
Andrew is too injury prone. Like German Fernandez, I'm afraid he will struggle. Best of Luck!
I dunno- after spending most of his career out in lane 2 of every race, this time he hugged the inside rail quite well, and didn't hit lane 2 until the middle of the 2nd-to-the-last curve, and then only briefly. Did a lot of passing on the inside, and didn't swing really wide until coming off the last curve.
I thought he looked alright; did some intelligent running, and showed patience to wait for the opportunity to kick.
What's encouraging is seeing him kick like he did in 2008-10. I realize the time was not awesome but he has not looked like himself the last two years - even when he made the London team he seemed a bit off.
I hope he gets his confidence back and gets the trai ing in.

-give me a break.
wheating runs the exact same way everytime...sit in the back...mad rush to the end. i'm shocked that all you boneheads haven't commented on him almost causing a guy to fall with 100m to go after cutting him off. ridiculous.
That kind of kick is something we saw when he ran 26 to close a 3:38 in college and he hadn't had that kind of kick the last three years.

But Wheating showed himself to be a fiery competitor, mentally tough as they come, and the most promising US middle distance runner ever.
GG
Actually, I would say that our 2011 Bronze, 2012 4th place, and 2013 Silver medalist is our most promising US middle distance runner at the moment...
