Probably will be suspend for two years unless he cuts some kind of deal as he has been cooperating.
But I still think he gets two years.
That would make him ineligible for the 2015 USATF Trials.
His career may be over.
He's 31 now.
Well, the rumor was he tested positive for DHEA, which is classified as a steroid, albeit a completely worthless one for doping purposes.

and he did accept blame by blaming somebody else

Geez, if he got busted, I hope it was for something better than DHEA! Why the hell would you take a chance on getting busted and not even use a drug that helps you???
DHEA does almost nothing. LMAO

SO why are all the athletes taking it?

DHEA is what Extenze has in it and is what LaShawn Merritt tested positive for. It's a legal, over the counter supplement under the stupid US supplement laws.
Who knows at this point, but it could be that someone in Gay's entourage was providing him with supplements that Gay shouldn't have been taking, as opposed to some sort of systematic attempt at doping.
Would you lot be saying the same if he was Turkish or Russian!
If it is in fact DHEA, it was one of three possibilities:
1. Sabotage. This seems possible if the rumors re: Drummond are true.
2. Tainted supplement/ignorance. There are lots of legal supplements, even generic protein powders and whatnot, that have been found to have banned substances, including DHEA.
3. It provides some benefit to assist with the biological passport or T:E ratio that we do not know about, but they messed up the detection time. I see this as unlikely, but possible.
No, there's only 1 possibility:
Gay's an idiot.
DHEA levels naturally drop over the age of 25.
Keep following the Letsrun rules though:
Fast times Non American = doper
Fast times failed drug test and American - innocent
You take DHEA with a number of other PEDs.

That's just stupid. This board is full of accusations of American athletes doping. If anything, there are more posts accusing Americans than posts accusing anyone else.
As I said before, I don't know the facts. However, if Gay tested positive for something that is legally available in over the counter supplements this may mean that he took it s inadvertently. He is still responsible for what goes in his body and he is still responsible for being stupid and allowing it to happen even if it was unintentional.
This all purely speculative as a proof of the so called letter they have access to has not been provided. News agency's often float best guess out there to get a reaction and or retraction.
WC champs are over so its time to create some new news.
Lets wait for the facts.
Something helped him run 9.75 this year and 9.69 in the past.
In may of been DHEA plus something undetectable or something he had cycled off of that DHEA may help him maintain.
He probably "trusted" that the person helping with his "supplements" knew better how to cycle these things and provide the appropriate measurements.
Sounds like it wasn't DHEA though, the article is saying it was "of exogenous origin" and DHEA is produced by the body.

Are you a fvcking retard or new here or both?
I think Tyson is one of the dirtiest out there. That has nothing to do with the fact that DHEA is worthless from a performance enhancing standpoint. It does practically nothing in elderly men that produce nearly 0 testosterone. It isn't going to take off even a hundredth from your 100m time.
It was likely a tainted product and/or sabotage of some kind.

So are testosterone and growth hormone. That doesn't mean you taking exogenous forms are impossible or at all hard to do.
You can go buy DHEA at CVS for under $10.
DHEA is more variable. Perhaps you're thinking of testosterone? Testosterone peaks at age 24 in African males and age 26 in white males.
DHEA usually plateaus between age 24-30 in most men.
Obviously natural athletes will see greater and later peaks in both of these hormones maybe 28 for the testosterone and 31-32 for the DHEA.
Perhaps Tyson was trying to get his body back to his 27-28 year old days when he was in 9.69 shape so he could run 9.69 again.
DHEA is a precursor to Testosterone and many other hormones. Also DHEA is hurt the most by prior drug use/stimulant dependance. Thats why Meth addicts look like they're 40 years older than they really are, it sucks out all the DHEA in their bodies.
want to tell if an athlete is natural? Look at their face when they're 40. If they look old, they're aren't natural. If they look young and vibrant they were natural.
'That's just stupid. This board is full of accusations of American athletes doping.'
Maybe, those actaully fail dope tests are given the excuse card Gatlin (twice!), Merrit and now Gay
