Perhaps lose the wigga attitude and start running faster than the Norwegians for a start.
3000m W:
Pace slowed down.
Defar leading now,
1k: 2:50
2k: 256
to 71s in a row now
7:30 before last lap
Dibaba fails completely from 250 out.
Defar wins 8:30.30, last lap 60 sec (59.99)
2. Cherono 8:31
3. Hassan 8:32
Rowbury 5-6th
Rowbury ran tough until the last 20 meters when she let 4 ladies pass her while essentially walking in.

Symmonds about racing after WC:
"Now my bags are once again packed, and tomorrow I head back into this crazy game of pro running.
I have signed on to race five times in the next three weeks. These are all exhibition races that mean very little to me and very little to my competitors.
We're going back to work, hoping to cash in on appearance fees, which are starting to become nonexistent, and prize money, which is slowly drying up."
It's like the post tour de france crits. Maybe the podium places and how it will play out are not predetermined in these track races like in the post tour crits, but after the WC or OG there is simply no energy and you can't expect the top guys to keep performing at 100%; there is no more motivation for them. The Stockholm meet is held at a terrible time being so close to the WCs.
Jordan Hasay 9:06, last place
Rowbury 8.34
Nice run by Rowbury. Sure she got passed at end but she was competitive in this one. 5k she's not competitive at all but 3k she has been for a while.
Hasay went for it, blew up last 700 meters. long season. can't wait to see what she throws down next year.
Merritt is DMX?

Rowbury did great. Ran 8:34 and closed in about 63. I wouldn't call that a walk.
She went for it and was the only non African in the hunt throughout the race
Slow 400
1. Merrit 44.69
2. Santos 45.25
3. Maslak 45.33

I agree with the announcers. If Shannon decides to focus on 5k training I suspect that she will not only become more competitive at 3k - 5k, but I bet her 1500 meter time will improve as well.
Will be interesting to see what she decides to focus on next year.

You saw what you saw. I saw what I saw. I don't know how four people can pass someone unless they are packing it in. And I said she ran tough with the Africans. It was great to see.
I'm not convinced Rowbury packed it in. I think she mistimed the kick. The top 3 really pulled away the last 200m. Rowbury was leading that 2nd group and paid the price.
Merritt easy 44.69 win in 400m hurdles. McQuay didn't run. He was entered as of yesterdya.
Wow! Why did Montano finished in the fifth lane?

Actually not if Ukrainians are winning.
