iron, vitamin d and an amino acid??? you have got to be kidding.
Iron isn't really required if you eat a healthy diet high in animal fats.
Vitamin D makes a HUGE difference. Basically, you will get sick a lot less during the winter so you get an average of 10-15 more training days. That is BIG.
Working with the EAS team is really helping me prepare because they provide me with a lot of supplements as far as my protein that I take before and after practice, as well as some creatine products. Me being a spokesperson for drug-free athletes, this company is 100% certified. They have no banned stimulants or substances in their product, so we’re on the same page. I can go into a Vitamin Shop or get products from the company directly, and I can take them and there’s nothing that’s going to show up positive on any test.

Tyson Gay was also part of Project Believe where he was subject to extra testing and setting blood samples aside.
Still got popped.
Nothing should convince anyone of someone being clean.
Testoboost for one. Glycocarn. Magnesium.
There were a bunch she listed so I don't remember them all.
The point is its laughable to say they aren't on supplements.
It may seem like a small thing but once a liar, always a liar. Deception rules.
To whom have you spoken and what exactly have they said? The vague quality of your remarks more than suggests they are made up. And as for Salazar being a psychopath, that would mean that those who have spent the most time with him--Rupp, Ritz, Farah, Centro, Hasay, Erdmann, Cain, Chock, etc.--most be idiots for not recognizing this, and you, who has probably spent less than one second in his company, know this. Yes, "it's sad."

He's a psychopath who has convinced himself they are doing nothing wrong.
Just look at the comment on his athletes not taking supplements besides iron and beta alanine. There's public knowledge of his athletes having taken much more. I've talked to current OP athletes who scknowledge taking much more than that. It's all legal supplements they talk about. But the point is that he has to lie to make it sound like they are squeaky clean.
It's sad.
I agree with Alberto. The way things go now is that if American runners dont get gold they are called lazy, talentless, stupid, under trained, etc.. If they are successful then they're dirty and doped to the gills.
No win situation.

Believe what you would like.
My source is two athletes, one former, one current. No ill intentions on my part. I simply inquired what supplements they were on as I wanted to know what kind of things athletes in a group like that would use for training, recovery.
Also, forgot that they take caffeine too.
The issue is that why would Salazar vehemently deny the supplements, when it's blatantly false.
To me, that's a red flag. One athlete even showed me bottles of what they were currently on.
There's flat out blatant doping such as Armstrong, Jones, Gay/Powell, and then there is NOP who take advantage of "grey area" substances. We all know this, and it seems as though there is very little that can be done about it. What Salazar and his group need to realize is that as much as they claim to be against doping and express the need to preserve the integrity of the sport, they're actually contributing to the cancer taking over our sport.
Testosterone supplementation is banned at all levels, and you can get caught below the 4:1 ratio if your levels are too wonky on the biological passport. I definitely would not call that a legal supplement.
“They’re saying: ‘They’ve got to be cheating.’ But that’s why a lot of Americans and a lot of Brits are running crappy because that’s their excuse. They should be saying: ‘You know what, it’s do-able because Mo Farah did it. If I train this hard and do this, then I can do it.’ When we see all this stuff we just think ‘good’. It just means there are fewer people for us to worry about because they’re all using this as an excuse.”
Can we get a layout of their training and supplements so we can train as hard?
Here's my two cents. If indeed Salazar and NOP are doping...then they will be caught in the end. It may take a while, but it will happen.
That is the inevitable outcome of any group that conspires in this manner. The center does not hold. It cannot hold. It always starts with the tiniest chink in the armor...a member of the group feels slighted, ignored, feelings are hurt. A member leaves the group on bad terms. Someone gets disillusioned by the process. Someone speaks out. Then another, then another, and before long, the entire facade has crumbled.
Marion Jones got caught. A-Rod got caught. Most importantly, Lance Armstrong got caught. His groups were very much akin to NOP, larger perhaps, with a more pervasive conspiracy of doping. He had the full faith and credit of several major corporations to insulate him. Yes, he was able to get away with it...for a while, but in the end, he was brought down by old allies.
If Lance can be brought down, so too can Al Sal and NOP...if indeed they are cheating.
Even those who ostensibly "got away with it," didn't really. The East German athletes, Carl Lewis, Flo Jo, all managed to finish out their careers without reprisal, but then again, they operated in a time when doping standards were far different. And while they were never punished, they were still caught in a manner of speaking, insomuch as their reputations and their achievements all have astrices. Because few now have any doubt as to how they did what they did.
As they say, you can't disprove a negative. No one can prove Al Sal and NOP aren't doping, short of filming these people 24/7 the rest of their careers. And if they're not doping, then of course they'll never be caught.
But I believe strongly, that if there is illegal, illicit doping going on within the NOP, then they WILL be held to account. Maybe not this year, maybe not in five years. It may take a long time, but the truth will worm its way out. It just takes one disillusioned ex-member to get the ball rolling, like a Floyd Landis, or a medico, or an agent, or somebody. Because conspiracies of this size cannot hold together. As Ben Franklin said, "The only way three people can keep a secret, is if two of them are dead."
If something illegal is going on, it will be found out. So let's all hope we're wrong, and these guys are clean. Because if there is something going on, and they are caught, it will be devastating to Track and Field. Perhaps even fatal.
Salazar could end this speculation very quickly
Mo has an identical twin bro. Take blood from each and compare. If Mo is "clean" their blood and other should be identical (of course subtracting the natural changes of high intensity of training.
He won't do it. How he responded is how 99% of the caught dopers responded. Big deal.

This is a similar quote to Froome after winning the TdF. It makes me think that they are working in a 'grey' area that they know is technically legal but probably shouldn't be
They know because....drumroll....they test themselves. Then they know what they can get away with. This is why dopers will always have an advantage over the regulators.
“We don’t take that much stuff and everything that Mo takes is from UK Athletics,” he said.
This could be a little suspect--is he passing the buck? Giving himself/Nike an out? And all the "stuff" talk is a little weird.
I believe Farah and Salazar are not cheating, but they are operating in such a grey area with hormonal treatment, thyroid therapy, etc. that I am not a fan at all, and consider them to be operating outside of the "spirit" of the rules.

Gay believed what he wrote. That seemed clear.
The anti-drug beadles should stop busting athletes, like Gay and Merritt, for inadvertent consumption of small amounts of banned items. It makes it too easy for rivals to get rid of a competitive athlete and it leads to the general pharmanoia found on this site.
You know who's even more irresponsible, jealous, and juvenile than all the haters on letsrun? Those Wall Street Journal reporters. Why can't they just be happy that the U.S. finally got one 10k silver medal after all these years.

I thought this was strange:
Salazar:Everyone is so into this drug mania. Everybody believes that if anybody runs well they have to be on drugs. That’s their excuse for why they don’t run well.
It's like Salazar doesn't believe the EPO era happened. To not give any credence to the skeptics is dodging the entire history of track and field. Everyone was doped for at least 20 years, and he doesn't even try dispelling any qualms we might have.
Who is everybody? Who are they? What's up with these universal statements? I've never claimed to not be faster because I'm not on PEDs. Is this just an attack on other athletes? How petty. When someone feels their beyond scrutiny they have something to hide.

This message board drags down the sport. Very little good or positive is discussed here any more, just criticism and running down people you have a beef with.
But they will not change the format, and not for any ideological reason as stated numerous times, but simply because they get more visits to the site this way and thus more advertisement revenues. It is a gossip and TMZ message board, not to promote the sport but to gossip and get as many visitors as possible.
