That's a little harsh. But I agree that she hasn't demonstrated a lot of racing smarts in the last couple of meets for someone who is a Cal Berkeley graduate.
Yeah, I don't understand why she ran out into lane 5. It didn't make sense. She was going diagonally across the track while everyone else was going straight forward. She could have even stayed in the outer part of lane 1 if my memory serves me correctly. She would probably have won I think if she had stayed in lane 1 - 2. Also, kupina (pacemaekr) - WTF? Lucky no one fell there.
Rabbit felt disrespected by Montano, made of point of letting the rest of the field know about it.

That's the side with the flower.
Like many runners near the end Alysia drifted out. She did not do it obstruct others coming up. There were none. Basically, she had second wrapped up and wanted some space. I have seen frontrunners do it, breaking the tape in the middle of the track. It is less likely for a second place finisher to do it, but I don't think it's a big deal. Posters are taking other issues they have with Montano and inserting them into the Stockholm race without just cause.
Montano knew toward the end she was not going to beat Sum and third was well back. The posters who want to criticize Montano on this race are making a mountain out of a Montano.
4 lanes of space though? i really think she would've won if she'd not drifted. it was very close between her and sum.
replay is up
I dunno..I was sympathetic to Montano...but this was just stupid. She trips a runner blatantly when they started into the homestretch, then she finishes in lane 5 when she would have won the race in lane 1.

This is total BS
I obviously withdraw my view that montano woulda won the race in lane 1 - wiggenser has shown this not to be true
went 29-29-30-31 today behind the bunny.
See, Montano started a second slower the first 200m and finished a second slower in 1:58.9.
Had she gone out quicker, she would have run faster.

There's no video there, just the results.

Dumazz, it's a different race, different track, different level of importance. Brenda ra 2:01 and Ajee ran 159.9
Her twitter is blowing up hahaha
you idiots do know that no matter how professional you may be, sometimes, you're not the most coherent in the last 100 meters of an 800 race. sometimes, your body just does something stupid for a stupid reason, and there is nothing you can do about it. get it?
