As a male, I am glad that Isinbayeva likes to have sex with males.
But homophobia is NOT hot. Ugly on the inside shows on the outside.

No, you are the one that doesn't get it. Countries are FREE and DO define their own basic rights. Whether or not other countries choose to remove that ability from a country is irrelevant. That is a completely different issue.
In your second paragraph, you are being dense on purpose. Or are you trolling?
The right to define basic human rights does NOT extend beyond a country's borders.
Wow, you are incredibly dense. The fact that other countries or a global coalition can remove the ability of a country to define their own basic rights means that they aren't FREE to do so (aka there are stipulations). If you don't understand that, then we're done here.
Russia really was the winner of the Cold War. Things have gotten better in Russia since the end of the war. Things have gotten worse in the U.S. since the end of the war.
screw her. what a bitch.
The only right every person has and deserves is the right to death.
1. homosexuality is unnatural. males and females were made for each other
2. homosexuals can't reproduce, resulting in population decline
3. homosexual relationships are not about starting a family and raising children, they are only about sexual lust
4. adopted children of homosexuals do not develop as fully as the children of heterosexuals because they are not influenced by both a mother and a father
5. Unlike traditional marriages which builds a family unit that strengthens, stabilizes, and perpetuates society, homosexual marriages do not, therefore weakening society
6. Since spiritual marriage is between one man and one woman, homosexuals cannot truly be married, and therefore are committing fornication (Sex between two unmarried people)
7. approving homosexuality is a step in the direction of approving more sexual immorality
8. The only positive outcome of homosexual marriage is that two people who like each other can live together. It doesn't benefit society. Is that reason enough to allow it? Should we allow someone to drive down the road at 100 mph just because it allows them to get places faster?
9. Couldn't people of the same sex just be friends? If someone is not attracted to the opposite sex, then why should they have sexual relations at all? They are nonsexual.
10.The main purpose of a marriage is not to allow two people to be together and be happy. It is to create a family, and homosexuals can't do that.
consider this though wrote:
People in Russia have the right to say they don't like gays.
Just as people in America have the right to say they don't like Russian-Americans. But, it does not follow that Russian-Americans should be denied rights because some people don't like them.[/quote]

Isinbayeva is not denying anyone any rights. She is not the government. The U.S. steals money from people at gunpoint, probably more than is done in Russia. Most people are being forced by governments but have no say in what they are doing. The U.S. is no more a free society than is Russia.

In order for something to not be a free activity, there has to be a law against it. There are no laws that govern countries. Countries govern themselves.

She's a hero of mine.
Knowing some ladies of Russian descent, I realize that it's a bit of a religion thing. Russians are mostly orthodox. If you're raised that way, how will you ever learn differently?
Hard to blame the people themselves if they speak out for what they feel to be the right thing, either way, but it sucks extra to be born gay in Russia. It's not a choice, 1 in 15 in Russia are born gay and life for them sucks worse than had they been born elsewhere.
In Qutar it's the death penalty and FIFA awarded them the football World cup and of course the Diamond League plays there every year.
Looking at the actual videos it certainly comes over much softer and that Isinbayeva is trying to saw respect the laws and is finding her words, her English is far from perfect. She specifically says it is fine if people are gay. Don't get me wrong, I hate her words and they were idiotic and are bad for gay rights causes.

Tell that to Slobodan Milosevich.
Her comments aren't really related to homosexuality. Have any of you actually read the article? Although the cold war is apparently over, her comments are related to that.
She is upset with Western civilizations. Western civilizations are the ones who embrace homosexuality. That's who she is upset with.
"Everything must be fine. It comes from history. We never had any problems, these problems in Russia, and we don't want to have any in the future."
You morons of epic proportion are missing the point. This is not about homosexuality or tolerance or human rights or hot Russian chicks who pole vault and talk too much.
This is about Putin driving another wedge between the east and west. The West played right into his hands and took the bait. Russians are already a bit suspicious of westerns and leaning toward debauchery. The whole point of this legislation (which only says "keep it from the children" by the way; a favorite play of tyrants everywhere) was to bait the west into defending what Putin's common folk fans see as hedonism.
And there you have it. We are running our mouths calling the Russian people a bunch of bigots and they have no choice but to gather up under Putin's a$$ and join in the resistance against the evil West. Nice job dumb a$$es.
1. Homosexuality occurs in nature, therefore it is natural by definition. Your second sentence is meaningless.
2. There is no underpopulation crisis in the vast majority of the world, so this is irrelevant.
3. Except for the gay couples that get married and adopt children, or have them through artificial means.
4. Credible social science is overwhelmingly against you on this one.
5. Gay couples are perfectly capable of building a strong family unit, as evidenced by the thousands who do so every year.
6. Many religious denominations sanctify gay marriage. You don't get to define "spiritual marriage."
7. Since homosexuality isn't immoral by any secular standard (it harms nobody), this is false.
8. Same-sex couples can raise stronger families with the benefits of marriage, and since they are harming nobody, wanting to live together is justification enough. Driving at 100 mph puts others in danger.
9. This is so unbelievably stupid that it doesn't even deserve a rebuttal.
10. Except for the thousands who have. Marriage means different things to different people, and there is no logical reason to exclude gay couples.
Homophobic is a ridiculous term. Are you sexwithglassphobic?
Are you sexwithcorpsesphobic? are you sexwithdogsphobic?
What type of ahole goes to another country on an Athletic Visa and then paint rainbows just to be disrespectful pricks?
I mean the Law of Russia does not affect Nick 'I had 1 too many cheat beers' 'El Silver' Symmonds 'gay friends' back in the states. Yet he pushes this popularist BS for the $$$$$. Its not your country, you dont like it tough you dont live there you have no say.
Why do these dumb athletes try to turn a competition into a political campaign??? They all took part in the Olympics in CHINA, you want to talk about human rights now?? Because a few gay people got beat up??? While million suffer human rights violations in CHINA had the hands of apparel-r-us, aka Symmonds sugar-daddy.
What a bunch of hypocritical POS... Symmond can do the world a favor and tell his leaders to stop kill people gay/straight/US Citizens/Non-US Citizens with drone bombings all day that'd be great, oh wait they're not gay enough to qualify for human rights.
Obama good guy, Putin bad guy... Nick Symmond plz go get another beer and shut up.
You are wacked in waco al right.
I know a homosexual billionaire who creates jobs for thousands of people.
No benefit to society.
I know a guy who calls himself gay but is actually bisexual. It saves time, goes he is a bit fem.
I know hundreds of friends (large email social network) who love him and rely on him as an encouraging and positive friend.
No benefit to society.
Best teacher I had in high school, lesbian. Everyone loved her. She helped a ton of kids.
No benefit to society.
The teacher who discovered and trained Tom Hank's as an acor? Gay.
No benefit to society.
Gay people have existed since BEFORE religion.
Bisexual people must really freak you out.
There are plenty of bisexual parents.
Why does Russia care about you and your strawmen?
Were you there for 'Gay people before Religion', are you the original Steve?
And to clarify did you call Tom Hanks/anything related to Hollywood a social benefit? Are you one of these people still going on about that Atlas flop and how its the best movie ever?
But Nick feels so good about himself now. And to boot we have somebody new to hate in Ms. Isinbyeva. What a guy.
I think there is something to say about respecting Russian culture. This is like going to France and speaking English, then getting mad at people for not knowing English, even though it's France.
