She looked nervous again, but held it together with her kick. Hopefully she can eek through to the final.
She looked a bit tired & heavy legged. Same in London DL. Hopefully there's more to come but it's great experience for her either way

Hopefully AlSal can work his magic for the final.
Cain in heat one of semis. This looks to be the slower of the two heats. Will probably need to advance to final by place, not time.

Maybe Saladbar will get them to use a mouse instead of a rabbit so Mary can eek out a final's spot.
:-)

Cleared 5.20 and is about 200 pts up on the Germans.
He is better in the Jav and than guys 2-4. He is also better than 2 of the 3 in the 1500. Schrader with a pb at 4:19 is years away from that.
So looks like Eaton should walk away with another major title unless something happens.
wrong event and thread. my bad
great kick by Cain though. very useful for the later rounds but she will need to make sure she is in the mix a bit earlier.

The final is a done deal. Salazar has Cain peaking.

Well played, sir/ma'am.
Long season, getting tired, running scared, needs to get out of lane 3 to advance, going to have to knock elbows and stay close, won't be able to kick her way to final from that far back in the semi.

Agree. Hopefully the heat *IS* slow and plays to her strength... and also conserves her energy.
Would make sense for the first to be tactical as most will prefer to let heat 2 worry about burning it up for the 2 q's
She needs to cut her hair. She is trying to imitate Jordan and her hair is much too long. Alberto should say something.
Have a feeling Sarah Brown (Lady Luck) will run a better time than Cain in the semis.
vid of 1500m heat 1:
Wow, I thought people might be exaggerating how bad of a prelim Cain ran, but based on that video they were spot on. Inexplicably ran way on the outside, let unnecessary gaps form when she clearly had enough energy (based on her strong finish), and then got a bit lucky in the last 100m -- she wasn't really closing on the top 4-5 and lucked out b/c a girl or two died in the last 50m. I think she absolutely has a good shot at making the final, but she needs to run much smarter.
