Jeilan started too far back but he looks hard like a rock.
What a slow boring 10k again.
Lasse Viren would have won this race easily.

dude this race was so predictable. how could the kenyans/ethiopians turn this into another sit and kick?

Farah toyed with a strong field
That wasn't a strong field.

of all athletes, Teklemariam Medhin. Must have been a rough fall for him to DNF.

Guy like that should have pushed the pace, not allowed the jogfest. So much for a PR and medal.

Really moron? If ritz pushed the pace that's help him medal? Get a grip.
No need to call names, boy.
Calm down. Are you Ritz's dad or something?
Pushing the pace couldn't have given him LESS of a chance than Ritz had in that jogfest, could it?
Cowardly effort.
Surprised Rupp failed to medal! Farah may have won but he struggled to get this one. Paul Tanui did what they were instructed to do-push the pace. He however didn't get much help from his teammates or Ethiopians who should have bought into this strategy to wear out Farah. Tanui ending with a bronze is really a great reward for the work he did. I expected Karoki to take it out with four or three laps to go but he chickened out and ended up being boxed in as the pace heated up. With one lap to go, he was already out of contention.
Love reading these threads after another Mo victory - so many bitter Americans can't face up to reality.
He's too good. Deal with it.

Just brutal to listen to.
Although that one guy above thinks it's lovely because they're British. What a dope.
Gotta agree with saladbar on this one. Ritz's greatest chance to medal was to push the pace and make everyone hurt. Burn the kick out of everyone's legs. He cannot lay down a 54 last lap like the others can.

Yeah the man who came in with the world lead had no chance at Farah.
World lead means nothing in the 10k unless its a serious time. Farah had not attempted a fast 10k so the fact someone had a faster time than him means what? Even gebs world lead was a joke for Geb. Means nothing.
Nobody was able to take it out fast, i.e. sub-27 pace.
Relatively slow. Shows that the bio passports have an impact.
We won't see people running 26:30 left and right in quite some time no matter
what Canova says.

Nice run by Rupp. Really thought one of those guys would come back to him on the straight away
The only way Rupp was going to medal in this race was if he/they moved with a mile out -- not 800 meters over.
He's chance for a medal was over with 800 to go.
Alberto's got to educate him better.
I don't think he's peaked, there's more to come from Rupp.

Seriously? Jeilan made that as close as you could have expected. For a couple seconds it looked like he might even outkick Farah.
That's my point.
The commentators said at 9200 that he looked out of it.

I'm guessing you've never run a track 10000.

Stop stop stop stop. No matter what Ritz would have done, these guys still would have run sub 57 last lap.

If the Kenyans had another guy lead the race instead of Tanui, maybe he'd have had a chance in the final sprint...
Yeah. Kenyan team a joke here. Tanui had the lead for almost the entire race.
