Good God!
How long has Mary been training with Alberto? Where does she live and how long has she lived there? How many professional, world class races has she been in?

I love it--"Hi mom." Martinez has it going.
martinez Boooom!
Martinez must be borrowing items from Vessey's makeup bag!
very nice 1:58.2 pulling far away from the field after 200m to go, and she'd also gone out last. Leader to leader, a close of 60.99, but Martinez must have been a good deal faster. I still think she's a 1500m runner and would have a shot to medal with that closing speed but Vigil's got her in great shape at the right time.
Thank you!

Yeah let's just forget about all of the world class indoor races and outdoor races that she did this year.
I'm still trying to understand what happened in that women's 4x100m relay. Some white woman? was in first or close to it going into the last exchange and her teammate apparently shifted to an outside lane and there was no exchange.
Meanwhile in the hj, Kynard had gone through clear up through 2.31 (very good form) and the last two attempts they showed were Bohdan Bondarenko getting over 2.28 (his starting height, I think) like nothing and then behind the sprinters was a shot of Bondarenko up at 2.38! Maybe a wr attempt tonight.
The BBC coverage is weak. What a shame.

Nick running in the front of the pack for a change beating Solomon. Good race
Symmonds over Solomon!
god dayum. I could see both Symmonds and Solomon medaling
symmonds going out in ~50, dang
Re nick-there's an argument for strength is speed vs speed kills.

indeed
very nice job by Nick to stick right behind Solomon at 400m and still had more than enough to get by the last 50m. This more aggressive strategy is the only way he will maximize his talent. 1:43.7 after easing a bit at the end. Johnson in 3rd.
Bondarenko ended up clearing 2.38m then skipping up until a try at 2.47 WR. Kynard was 2nd in 2.36.
Amman, Bosse, and maybe Johnson are going to be in there.
Almost .5 sec off Solomon's best and only Amman has run close to that.
It's going to be a good WC race. With Rudisha out, the gold is wide open.
