Why? Kara had a great chance to run fast, with her training partner, and didn't.
It's times like this I'm glad flotrack is helping to expand the sport

I'd be pretty pissed off if I was Kara under these circumstances.
Why should she be pissed off? she had chance to secure spot. And she failed! No reason to be pissed off now.
Kara, is yesterday's news the sport or at least the 10k event has passed her by. She cannot compete at the world level on the track...Time for changing of the guard.

for only $19.99 a month too

Interesting thought. Is Hasay the female equivalent of Derrick.
No. While at Stanford, along with all his top 5s and 10s, Derrick ran the fastest ever 10,000m for an American born collegiate (2 seconds faster than Rupp) and the fastest ever indoor 5k for an american born collegiate. (Because Rupp ran 13:18 and 13:11 after graduating, didn't he?) As a side note, Derrick also was a YOUNG college senior (21 years old), while Rupp was a 5th year guy.
Hasay was good, but not Derrick good, at least in terms of times. There's also the fact that she won an indoor NCAA title, while Derrick won no titles at all.
Plenty of differences.
Hasay falling back a few steps
Anyone besides me surprised they just assume she's going to get it. NOw they are takling about her being a factor in Moscow?

They missed a real opportunity to make this a 40 minute commercial for their pay service -- making this one race free tonight...they could have bought a ton of good will with track fans that are bummed by today's news.
Flotrack costs more than Cinemax and shows slightly less flesh.

God I'm a god coach. Just when I ask if anyone is surprised shje's going to make it, Hasay gets dropped by the fabbits.
Yes, agree. What happened to one of the pacer brothers I'd pay $50/month for this. $20 is a bargain.

That's what i'm saying, they're kind of barring people out, especially the fans that aren't diehard
