Nice run by Sato, too, with the all-time Japanese #3 time. I didn't think he'd run times like that after running a marathon debut this spring.

Congratulations to Mr. Hill. I for one am excited to see this up and comer claim his trip to worlds. He may have been the fourth American, but he has youth and potential...oh yeah and speed. He has a bright future.
Props to Ben St. Lawrence.
I still hope he knocks out a sub 13 today
good for hill and good for true to forget about calculating what's in his best interest and to pace hill to the A standard. What was Rop running along the way to his 12:59? If Rop was even-paced, then that indicates that True's definitely not in sub 13 shape, or didn't feel he had that, but definitely in better than 13:11 shape, since he had to do the pacing much of the way. Maybe 13:04-7 shape. Very impressive depth as well, Hassan Mead, True, Bumbalough, Hill, and the fourth guy all under the A standard, plus Lagat, Lomong, Derrick, Ritz, and Rupp previously.
