Officially 13:14.2, True, Mead, and Bumby run 13:11-13:12
Bye bye little Ben!
Maybe try skiing again?
Terrific running--all PRs--by all four guys--and Hill bypasses the "B" and goes straight to the "A".
Who the hell are some of these guys? BURAAS SINDRE - 13:15. Some of them got their B standard for their countries...assuming their federations will let them go.

What happen to Webb?

Yeah, such a poor year... top American at World XC and 13:11 for 5000. How did your local fun run go this morning - break 18?

Incredibly hard working guy living part time in Kenya like the Robertson twins - without the gangsta stuff
13:28 to 13:15. I'd say whatever he was doing in Kenya is working out.
He has the same coach as Marius Bakken had.
Masters runner at 13:28! Gotta be a masters WR. I know, I know, it's only masters running blah blah blah, but it's smoking fast at any age, let alone 40+!
I'm bummed for Ben True. If not for his strong pacing Hill very well might not have made the standard. He's just a solid dude I guess. I hope he takes another couple cracks at getting under 13:10 this year.
It's exciting to have all this young talent emerging in the 5K. Hill, Mead, True... these guys look like the real deal.

Webb placed 11th in the B race and 33rd in the combined results with a better than expected 13:43.xx
Perhaps the most amazing stat - I think with this race there are 10 Americans under 13:15 this year. That is an amazing improvement. Looking back over the past few years we had 4, 4, 3, 3, 0.

Yes this race definitely shows that Hill is better than True. Glad we cleared that up...

Buraas is a pretty well known guy in Europe, 13:30 guy before. I think he fell during the euro cross country championships after taking the lead at the start. He's been one to watch for years. Glad to see him running this time.

I enjoy this post.
GOLD BABY GOLD!!!!
Still kind of feel for True though. I think he would fare better at worlds, but that's the luck of the draw.
Impressive depth - only one guy under 13:00, but 13 guys break 13:16.
