It would be tough to throw the Russians out of Russia this year. We all saw how the London locals responded to Murray winning Wimbledon or MO at the Olympics. Free Pass for the home team.
With the doping Russian middle distance runners not in the team there will be less parochial cheering from local fans. Hopefully they will still cheer good clean sporting contests.
Would this move Rowbury up to 4th in the 2012 Olympic 1500m?
I not one to accuse athletes of duping, but when I saw these two Turks take gold AND silver in 2012, I remember thinking, "Okay that just isn't right. They've gotta be doping." I figured they'd get caught right then, but whatever they were doing must have been out of their systems.

Nike and NOP are clean, and you're just gonna have to deal with it.
Nike is clean? What does that even mean?
Nike athletes generally? Not true.
Nike runners? Not true.
American Nike runners? Not true?
NOP runners? Well, maybe. But please, how would you know? Honest question. Because you went to Oregon?
Gobble, gobble gobble MF's
When are they going to catch up with the sprinters who are doping right now in the US. No mention was made about throwing out America when all their record holders were going down in the BALCO scandal

To be fair, BALCO involved about a half dozen athletes from a country with a couple hundred professional t&f athletes. Turkey has about a dozen positives from country with only about 30 professional athletes. Not exactly apples to apples.

Yeah, that was a pretty good quip. Classic episode.

No turkey? The Ethiopians will eat ducks then.

On the basis of what do you claim this? Is it pure ignorance or prejudice?
I'd think they are one of the better working democracies in the Middle East, and at least comparable to some of their neighbours to the west and north.

You have no concept of corruption if you think the two are even remotely comparable.

Come off it there were more than that involved. Not just BALCO either look at all the other sprinters from America been busted over recent years. The success of America in athletics is down to sprints and that is down to doping and top guys not like in Turkey with one at the top and the rest nobodies
At the US trials there was a lot of talk about the sprinters doping.
If the women winning the 4x100 in a world record time of 40.62 breaking the 32 year old 41.60 done by the heavily drugged East Germans of 1980 doesn't raise your suspicion, don't let me disturb your sleep.
