I guess you don't read LetsRun.com religiously. Symmonds ran a 1:13 in practice last year.

rubbish. 1"13.9 with 0.24 handtime equals ~1"14.15, plus often times TTs have better conditions condusive for fast running than races, especially for Symmonds who often has to run on outside in his races and is forced out at pacing that is not ideal for him. Maybe I was being too strict on saying that Symmonds couldn't touch 1:13s...but at his peak from what he has shown so far I woulda reckon he is worth
~22.4 200 (give or take a tenth)
~47.1 400 (give or take a tenth)
~1:14.0 600 (give or take a tenth)
~1:42.8 800(give or take a tenth)
~2:13.25 1000(give or take a quarter second)
~3:32 high 1500m (give or take a half second)
Symmonds could have barely sprinted a 200 flat out as fast as Solomon went through in his 600, I imagine if Symmonds raced this 600 he woulda been maybe ~1 second behind at finish line from Solomon. Symmonds likely woulda had splits of 48 high/25 low.
In a 1000 or above, though, Solomon would be toast, and in a 1500 Symmonds has Solomon by 50-60 meters, Solomons theoretical potential would probably be
~21.4 for 200(give or take a tenth)
~45.9 for 400(give or take a tenth)
~1:12.7 for 600(give or take a tenth)
~1:42.4 for 800(give or take a quarter second)
~2:14.1 1000(give or take a quarter second)
~3:40 1500( give or take 2 seconds)
So, to answer your question, does Symmonds have 1:13.xx speed? Maybe, but 1:13 high at the best, certainly not 1:13 low.
