Hate to disappoint you, but I'm a pretty happy chap. Annoyingly so to guys like you. Truman Show style.
It just so happens that trolling dumb@asses like you provides me with great laughs. Oh, and Rupp is incredibly annoying.
Rupp annoys no one, unless you allow him to annoy you.
Rupp runs to win and set records. Watch his indoor 2M when he runs 100% solo; watch every race he ever runs that he tries to destroy the field from his pace with 1km left.
Sounds like you like guys that sit and kick like Lagat, well, that's not Rupp. He's not trained with that mindset. I guess that proves the OP's title, DADDY CAN STILL KICK because that's all he does, ever, which is why his highest medal stack at the Olympics is the same as... wait for it.... GALEN RUPP.

So for Olympic medals we have
Lagat
2000 Olympics - bronze 1500m
2004 Olympics - silver 1500m
Rupp
2012 Olympics - silver 10000m
Then we go to World Championships.
Lagat
2001 Outdoor - silver 1500m
2003 Indoor - Silver 1500m
2004 Indoor - Gold 3000m
2007 Outdoor - Gold 1500m
2007 Outdoor - Gold 5000m
2009 Outdoor - Silver 5000m
2009 Outdoor - Bronze 1500m
2010 Indoor - Gold 3000m
2012 Indoor - Gold 3000m
2011 Outdoor - Silver 5000m
Rupp
0 medals at World Championship events
Rupp is certainly very talented and I'm sure there are more medals on the world stage in his future. He has a long ways to go before he's in the same category as Lagat though.

Your post was pretty good until you tried to equate Rupp's silver with Lagat's silver.

Bernard Lagat:
World Championships
----------------------Kenya
2001 1500m Silver
----------------------United States
2007 1500m GOLD
2007 5000m GOLD
2009 5000m Silver
2009 1500m Bronze
2011 5000m Silver
Olympic Games
----------------------Kenya
2000 1500m Bronze
2004 1500m Silver
Galen Rupp
Olympic Games
2012 10,000m Silver
So please, tell me more about how Galen Rupp's highest medal stack at the Olympics being the same as Bernard Lagat's has any significance. Lagat has two world championship golds to his name and 4 out of his 5 silvers (yes FIVE which last I checked is greater than ONE) in international championships have come behind the world record holders in their respective events (El Guerrouj and Bekele).
Rupp is an incredible runner. 2012 proved that. But Lagat is better. There is nothing wrong with admitting that.

What a moronic post.
Rupp won the slowest 10,000m Olympic silver since 1992. 1992.
Lagat got his silver in a close race against unquestionably the greatest miler ever to walk the earth.
Rupp has disappointed at every World Championships. Statistically, this shows his slow Olympic silver to be a the slow-race fluke it was.
Lagat has six medals at outdoor WCs, from 2001 to 2011, including double gold in 2007.
Rupp's will NEVER be on Lagat's level.
If you look at the body of work, I think Lagat is more accomplished, but, remember Rupp has some more time in his legs.

Apparently so does Lagat.

You think?!?
You dumb@sses have no reading comprehension, which is not a surprise, as it is America's biggest educational problem.
I said in the OLYMPICS, they have the SAME COLOR MEDAL - SILVER. LAGAT HAS NOT WON GOLD, RUPP HAS NOT WON GOLD. They have both WON SILVER, meaning they have both achieved the same level in their sport.
The WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS are NOT the Olympics and never will be.
On a side note, can you imagine Rupp running for Great Britain and having an EPO false positive??? Yeah, that is Bernard Lagat's history. Think about it.
at 14 anything, neither of them deserve to go
Actually, you said his "highest medal stack" was the same, whatever the F that means. Is there an English-speaking country where that means "best Olympic medal?"

Well, then critical thinking ability must be the biggest educational problem in your country. In no way is Rupp's silver at the same level as Lagat's silver.
Also I put WC gold on the same level as Oly gold if we're talking about competition. Olympic medals are more glorious though.

The ridiculously slow U.S. 5k indicates, along with prior performances, to other athletes:
-- Rupp does not have the kick to win, or place high in, a really fast race.
-- Rupp does not have the kick to win a really slow race, but he could end up top three to five.
-- Rupp does have the kick to place top three in a fast race, as long as it is not too fast.
They ran 3:55 1600's!! Not miles which would be 1.5 slower on standard conversion, thank you
