Good thread, Freddy. I absolutely love to see Rupp get beat. Never leads. Never shares the work. Always a strained smile when called for.
How much of the "work" did Lagat do exactly?

Only 9 runners in total. Not to mention the heat.
Was cheering for Rupp but not surprised Lagat pulled it out.
Ryan Hill the big surprise. Not a disappointing race by any means. We willl send a solid team.
Posting like sending cable.
Or Morse code.
Maybe used to be news info man via wire.

The US championship title does matter, you are right. However, the Olympic Trials title matters more. And guess what? Rupp obliterated Lagat in that race which did matter and it mattered more than this one in an off-olympic year.
I stumbled upon this interesting study that found a positive correlation between the number of anti-rupp posts and the degree of homosexuality.
So, we can conclude that Rupp-certified Saladbar is indeed a queer.

Yeah, it served him fine. Rupp didn't win last summer either.[/quote]
How many international championships did Lagat win last summer?

The Rupp haters are pissed because he is something they´re not: fast and heterosexual.
Women do not like fast hetros. They are called minutemen because that's as long as they can last when it matters most--in the sack.
1) The OT is not more important
2) Lagat is like 20-1 lifetime vs Rupp
3) Lagat is 38
Congrats to the old man. He makes me feel young.
I also think Rupp ran very well and is rounding into form.
How could Solinsky and Bumbi not work together to make it faster ??
Ben True should have waited one more lap and he would have been third. Hope he learns.

So that's what you are using for your comeback: you are calling the guy a homosexual?? Seriously?
(and particularly ironic since the Rupp-haters you are pissed at often call Rupp the very same thing)
Rupp has nothing to be ashamed of. Rupp was outkicked by one finest runners in the world. Indeed, Rupp's finish was impressive given the heat and windy conditions, despite the slow first 3200m.

Salazar is a woman?
still slow compared to Moh Faraj's 50.67 last lap off of a faster (but still slow) race!!!!!
That is indeed 3:54 high. However, it is for 1600m. Trivial when you are talking about JV USers, but the difference between a 3:54 1600 and 3:54 mile is noticeable.

What was Lagat's last lap?
Seems Farah is the best kicker in the world at 50.89.
Where is A Duck? I want to read his excuses for this obliteration.
I find it a little disheartening that both the Rupp-hater and the Rupp fan-boys use gay bashing terminology to insult each other. I guess there's at least one thing they can agree on.

Nice red herring. I said nothing about Lagat.
Rupp's tactic at the Olympics got him second. He did not win. He was not "served well".
Now you, on the other hand, just got served.
How many people who lead championship races before the lap actually win?
