Hey, Ventolin.
wadn't it funny though about bolt and all the withdrawals when the rumour about the testers got out like

The problem is that both main athletes (Bolt, Blake) who pulled out from the meet, pulled out several days before. It's not like if they ran away the day the meeting happened. It was not "sudden" enough for her "not to hear the news".
Blake anounced more than two weeks before that he wouldn't take part to the meet since he got injured running against kim Collins.
I don't get the insinuation that Bolt pulled out because IAAF testers were going to show in Jamaica. He ran in Cayman a few days later and he ran in the Diamond League circuit a few days after that where IAAF testers would almost certainly have been present.
And it was obvious that he had some kind of injury based on the times he posted in Cayman and in his first Diamond League race which were by his standards slow times.
Further it is my understanding that the diuretic supposedly taken by VCB may have been something quite ordinary and not Lasix. So everybody needs to cool their heels and be patient til more facts come out. I am reserving judgement on this one.

Plus the Caymanian dollar is even stronger than the USD. Bolt is so in demand that if he can't command a good compensation, he's not going to bother with the event. I don't blame him... he's on top and can dictate where his efforts go. I don't buy that he was hiding from testers because they can show up at ANY event.
Coach d, if anything you've convinced me that it's dangerous for Jamaican elites to train in the USA and that Gay might be doping, which I don't want to believe.
"Turned positive by the Jamaicans"... what does that even mean? The Jamaicans didn't conduct the drug test.
Listen, this premise that VCB is a sacrificial lamb for the Jamaicans is pure bunk. VCB is the top female sprinter with the highest medal count. She is HUGE in Jamaica, even bigger than SAFP. This isn't Kerron Stewart....Try another angle...that one doesn't make sense.

"No serious drugs were involved, no PEDs (performance Enhancing Drugs) were involved, that's all I will say," the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said.
After the 'B' sample came back positive, Campbell-Brown will next face a Jamaica Anti-doping Commission's panel, before which she will explain how the substance got into her system.
According to the source, she could receive a three-month ban or even a public reprimand. The source added that she was expected to be back in competition again soon.

Just like Carl Lewis!
Not jumping to any conclusions, but Lasix (Furosemide) is a strong diuretic and is well known as an effective PED masking agent for athletes in many sports and even race horses. It is also known by laboratories who conduct tests for law enforcement and pre-employment. Listed as a category S5, Furosemide is a diuretic which is prohibited both in and out of competition, and its presence in urine merits a sanction of two years suspension, stripping an athlete of medals, ranking and the like. Although Furosemide is used is a variety of medical treatments, every professional athlete and doctor treating professional athlete should know this is a banned substance and the WADA Code clearly states that "an athlete is responsible for any substance found in their body".
Like she wouldn't notice she was suddenly urinating out up 5lbs of extra liquid and not wonder what was wrong with her and check herself into a hospital...or not run.
The something fishy is that the Jamaicans have gotten used to their countries lack of testing.
If Wallace says she didn't cheat, well then we should just take his word on it.....couldn't make it blue type for sarcasm
The first rule of dope club...there is no dope club.
Spearmon isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
As far as VCB goes, the sacrifice had to be of somebody big enough to matter, and the resulting competition sanction small enough to not affect their pocketbook too much.
This was perfect. Big--Olympic and World medalist. Small--female, not Bolt. Not from Bolt's club. Not even in Jamaica. Associated more with USA's best than with any Jamaican athlete.
The sanction will be next to nothing, but it doesn't matter--the deed is done.
And it was done passively. Any of these people could be caught at any time, if those shielding them wish it to be so, by them NOT making a phone call, or NOT passing on information, for which inaction a million excuses are plausible.
If you guys think that an athlete can dope successfully in isolation, you're wrong.
There is nothing mysterious about this. How many times have I told you that even golden people--even Bolt--could get caught, IF he did the wrong thing--pissed off the wrong person, without his people being able to smooth things over successfully. VCB was perfect. The people might love her, but she can apparently be a pain. I will say it again--perfect.
As far as "guilt" is concerned, it doesn't matter what her "story" is, as long as it can be reasonably believed that the samples that were tested were actually from her, that the test protocol was not flawed, and that the results were accurately reported. Her "story" could be considered a mitigating factor in the decision of what sanction to impose, and because the powers-that-be are probably just waiting for a reason to lower the sanction as much as possible, she will no doubt come up with something good.
NO DOUBT.
I can't wait to hear it. Hydroxycut? Extenze? Spanish Fly? X? Morning-after pill? Female use of sildenafil citrate? No, wait...5-minute energy!
Furosemide. Not really found in anything except pharmaceutical preparations.
Look to where she gets it. Look, you people, LOOK. Damn it, how much more do you guys need? You want me to shove your faces in it?
Wrong... VCB was no sacrifice. Why do you even think Jamaica needed to appease any agencies?
Old Geezer-
You have really convinced me of how much of a fool you really are. The problem that yourself and "COACH D" are really having is that 2 athletes connected to "Tyson Gay" and the "National Training Center" have tested positive for a diuretic. Which "WADA" considers to be a masking agent.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
"SACRIFICIAL LAM" That statement is hogwash
Jamaica would not sacrifice arguable their most decorated athlete ever male or female.
Let me get this right...you are basically saying that Jamaica's sacrifice of VCB to protect Bolt and Blake. Would be similar to good ole USA sacrificing Felix just to protect Tyson Gay and Justin Gatlin.
GET THE F**K OUTTA HERE WITH THAT B**LSHIT.
It is just as absurd to believe that a man that only runs in 3 competitive races per year can just suddenly emerge out of multiple surgeries and run a legal sub 9.80 in a 100m.
"FOOLS"...LASIX aka Furosemide is a highly potent diuretic. It’s like taking "MORPHINE" OR "DILAUDID" as a pain killer/suppressant, highly unlikely. The drug is administered intravenously, by injection or through a tablet regiment. And as stated early:
“LIKE SHE WOULDN’T NOTICE SHE WAS SUDDENLY URINATING OUT UP TO 5LBS OF EXTRA LIQUID AND NOT WONDER WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HER AND CHECK HERSELF INTO A HOSPITAL…OR NOT RUN”.
So I am not expecting an excuse that can justify this crime.
Unlike most of you American T&F fans I am not delusional nor am I bias against any other nation or athlete but the truth is:
VERONICA CAMPBELL-BROWN is guilty...100% guilty. She needs to admit to her guilt first a foremost and then apologize to the Jamaican people. After she apologizes the Jamaican pundits and public should do to her like what they did with Mr. "I'm too afraid to go back to Jamaica for my doping hearing" Steve Mullings. Toss her out like she was yesterday’s news.
This so-called source that said VCBs doping results are overblown is an idiot. And individuals like this is what is wrong with T&F.
I wouldn’t put him/her past the competence level of a “GEEZER” or “COACH D”. These men! Though highly knowledgeable fail to recognize their biggest flaw…Their inability to be impartial.
James, James, James...
"Let me get this right...you are basically saying that Jamaica's sacrifice of VCB to protect Bolt and Blake. Would be similar to good ole USA sacrificing Felix just to protect Tyson Gay and Justin Gatlin."
Absolutely wrong, on more than one level.
First, not Bolt "and Blake", JUST Bolt. Blake sort of comes into the deal because he is too close to Bolt.
Second, there is only ONE Bolt, and Gay and Gatlin are nothing compared to him, internationally, and are not worth protecting like Bolt is. Track would survive Gay or Gatlin going down, but not Bolt.
"It is just as absurd to believe that a man that only runs in 3 competitive races per year can just suddenly emerge out of multiple surgeries and run a legal sub 9.80 in a 100m."
I have repeatedly said that I consider the question of whether or not Gay is doping to be an open question, as yet undecided for me. As with Powell, the possibility of doping remains.
"So I am not expecting an excuse that can justify this crime."
I am. Don't overestimate her.
"VERONICA CAMPBELL-BROWN is guilty...100% guilty."
Absolutely. We are in agreement. The only remaining question is the sanction.
You need to relax, James. You might think that you are impartial, but you sound deeply hurt by all this.
Good. You deserve it. Any adult who would seriously invest emotionally in something like professional sprinting deserves all they get from it.
And James, make no mistake--nobody in the world, except for some people in the Caribbean, care at all about VCB.
Spryintgeezer wrote:

James, that was well said earlier. Well said!
So Geezer, since you are holding so stubbornly steadfast to this nonsensical theory, please answer me one thing. Had VCB not been "sacrificed", how exactly would Bolt have suffered?
Whaaat--
Why is it nonsensical? It has had demonstrated predictive value. That is inarguable, as the evidence is here on this board.
The answer to your question is that your question is a non-sequitur--there is NO WAY that there was NOT going to be a sacrifice; or without using a double negative, it is absolutely certain that somebody would be sacrificed, in order that Bolt remain unscathed.
The interesting thing to consider now is where do we go from here. It is obvious that there has been fragmentation within the Jamaican ranks. The question is whether or not this sacrifice will do anything to pave over their internal difficulties, or at least suppress them--and I think that it certainly will have the latter effect.
VCB is big enough to be an example of what can happen, to anybody (except Bolt). Make no mistake, she was given up--probably passively, probably intentionally. Nobody who knows anything is going to make any waves, not even I think Blake at this point.
I'll say it again, VCB was the PERFECT choice--I couldn't have done it any better myself. Beautiful.
That's how it is, unless you want to believe that this really was an accident due to oversight, because of VCB's relative social and physical distance from Jamaica.
I can't believe that, because the choice was just too perfect.
This is how Jamaica and others get away with things like doping and other lying and cheating, because they are excellent at it. This was a particularly masterful stroke, and I admire both their timing and their precision--and I'm not the only one. There are probably plenty of people sitting back and breathing a huge sigh of relief today.
So I think she will get a slap on the wrist, and that a good example has been set that will ensure discipline within the ranks. Everybody knows in no uncertain terms that there is but a single King.
The questions going forward will be: can it continue without somebody critical getting pissed off; will staffing naturally change with time such that the ride must come to an end; and will other nations, the USA in particular, get sufficiently fed up to begin a new production line of superior sprinters?
Geezer, all you have demonstrated is that you cannot provide a succinct response to my very simple and direct question. Your display of pedantry and pretentiousness does nothing to disguise the fact that your arguments are worthless and without merit. In fact, like most, I find them to be comedic in nature. Is that what you intended? If so, Bravo! BRAVO!!!Back to earth, dude.I don't think you realize how hurtful VCB's drug debacle is to Jamaica and the sprint camps. She is generally viewed as the classiest female sprinter with the highest of morals... the quintessential Jamaican lady. So she is not "socially distanced" from Jamaica, she is fully engaged and embraced, understand? I won't even bother to list her medal count. The fact is, there is no conspiracy. The great majority of Jamaican sprinters who tested positive, were tested and outed by JADCO. VCB was not one of them, therefore, whether they wanted to "sacrifice" her or not, it was not up to them. There goes your argument. "will other nations, the USA in particular, get sufficiently fed up to begin a new production line of superior sprinters?Did I not say you're a comedian? Either that, or so biased that your hypocrisy is laughable. The USA's "production line of superior sprinters" got busted. The only one still running is Gatlin. I don't say Tyson because I think he's always been clean. Fact is, once the playing field was leveled, the world's only true sprint nation rose up to it's rightful place. Bolt came along at the right time solidify and put the icing on the cake. If you were impartial, you'd be thanking him for picking up T&F off the ground where Balco left it, but you're just to biased to see that. James Lee is totally right.
Whaaat?--
I'm getting the feeling that you're the old poster Ilemy/Ilemux.
What a load of crap.
"The USA's "production line of superior sprinters" got busted."
Yes, some did. No kidding. You're so full of hurt and rage you don't even understand what is being said in a comment.
"I don't think you realize how hurtful VCB's drug debacle is to Jamaica and the sprint camps."
Yes, I do. I know she is loved.
And that's the problem, because that love is blind.
"She is generally viewed as the classiest female sprinter with the highest of morals... the quintessential Jamaican lady."
All that proves is that your general opinions are totally wrong about yet one more thing.
"hypocrisy"
You should look up the meaning of the word, rather than using it incorrectly.
"the world's only true sprint nation rose up to it's rightful place"
ROTFLMAO
Jamaica is barely a nation, and wouldn't be one at all were it not for foreign aid.
Plus, you are nothing...NOTHING...compared to the powerhouse that will come on line, the REAL Africans from places like Nigeria.
It must be tough when the single thing in which you can have some national pride turns out to be bullcrap. Good work. Now why don't you guys go about building some sort of real society?
"f you were impartial, you'd be thanking him for picking up T&F off the ground"
You're an idiot, Whaaat?. I have already said that he has hoisted all of track onto his back and carried it for years, and that nobody else could have done it.
I have also said that the VCB situation is sad. It's understandable that you are lashing out in anger, but grow up and find something in life that is more meaningful than professional t&f.
Like Cricket, lol
Seriously, get a life. A REAL life, I mean.
