Not to jinx anything but it appears Stillwater is about to add some more to that list. They have already doubled the next closest mark, 2, and with two more they will have tripled anyone else. Amazing.

Next best are 10 high schools that have produced two. There are 400 US sub-4 milers that went to high school in the US (403 total) so Stillwater has produced 1%.
On the combined list of sub 4:00 and sub 3:42.23 (1500m sub 4:00 equivalent for stat purposes) Stillwater joined South Eugene HS OR and Klein HS TX with 4. There are 24 other high schools with 2.
To be fair then, Stillwater is in a 3-way tie with South Eugene and Klein HS with 4 sub 4:00 equivalent guys.
Of those next 24 high schools with two, I'm guessing almost all of them are done by brothers.
If South Eugene or Klein has 4 kids from different families who've done it, that'd be more impressive than Stillwater's, but just barely!

You beat me to it.
Lame though. He was sophomore age, but for some reason in 9th grade. Remember, he ended up skipping his junior year and becoming a senior a year early. So really his freshman and sophomore records are equivalent to sophomore and junior performances. Even he admitted that his age was an advantage in an interview.

Pretty sure the national freshman record is 8:53 by Lukas Verzbicas.

Of those 24 high schools with two, 20 are not brothers and 4 are (3 twins).
None of the South Eugene or Klein athletes are brothers.

Thanks for all the stats. I was off in thinking the 16 sets of brothers (5 being twins) that have run a sub 4:00 mile were from the US, but apparently that is international.
This puts South Eugene and Klein slightly ahead of Stillwater. I'm not a history buff, but will guess the 4 from South Eugene took running further than the 4 from Klein. What does the stats man (jsully) say?
Does anyone have a link to the national track and field records by class? I did quite a bit of fruitless googling for that. It sounds like Eli Krahn's 8:58 3200m and 4:09 are the freshman records if you discount Verzbicas's 8:53, since he was over-aged and skipped a year later on (meaning that the 8:53 was essentially a sophomore time).
How is Eli doing in 2015? What are his PR's this season?

The only result he's recorded is a 56 second 400 split. He's been struggling mightily with injury. If he could stay healthy for 9 months or so, he would be seriously threatening sub 4, sub 1:50, sub 8:45 as a junior.
it looked like he had a problem with his fibula as a sophomore but ran 4:13 as a junior and 9 flat 3200. If he gets healthy again, he's obvious as big a talent around as we have seen in a while, though doesn't seem to have a great deal of top end speed (1:58 800m pr somehow for a 4:09 guy).
Eli will not be competing this track season, he's had some very tough luck lately.
From a local newspaper:
"The Ponies also learned last week that they will not have three-time individual state champion Eli Krahn for the rest of the season because of an undisclosed injury. Krahn, who has battled the injury bug the past few years, is the two-time defending state champion in the 1,600 meters and the reigning state champion in the 3,200, though according to Christensen he will not have an opportunity to defend those titles this spring. The coach is not going to dwell on the setback, instead focusing on getting the most of the remaining athletes from a team expected to contend for a MSHSL state championship.
“He’s done for the season,” Christensen said. “I just don’t want to talk about it. There’s nothing to comment on.”"
