If Nike wanted to, they'd get him a fake passport. I know you know I know what you mean.

But Suzy Favor kept getting Nike money long after competing.
Michael Jordan as well. Bruce Jenner still makes money off of his Gold.
Keeping them is good publicity.
As for Manzano, every time he lines up he is announced as Olympic medalist. That would be accompanied by his sponsor name if he had one.
I really hope Manzano wins USATF again.

Don't know how he does it.
This is a great explanation for Leo Manzano's DNF at Pre this weekend.
Thanks.
Either someone spiked my iced tea or this is the funniest thing I've read in a long time.
oh jeez I wonder why Suzy got money...that ones not hard.
Jordan is really really obvious, you can't be that dumb.
Even Jenner had a TV show.
There are reasons those people make money after they retire.
I doubt they planned this, but this may end up being a savvy move by Leo and his agent.
- Win Silver
- Create some controversy in the running community with 2 flags
- Create more chatter by going without a sponsor for most of the season
- Finally pick up a sponsor and get some press from it all
The minute Leo picks up a sponsor he'll get more press for it than any runner this year. He's running like crap and we're still talking about him. Seems like he is doing a pretty good job at staying relevant to me.

Neither of those countries are currently invading America.
He was on a Mexican talk show this morning, said lack of sponsor.
