I guess he and Salazar heard about 26:36 pace at 5k, and instead of stepping up his game he will now dodge Bekele.
Pathetic. Farah is on basically home turf, and a likely past-his-prime comebacker flies around the world, and the defending OG champ ducks him? What a joke. Terrible for the sport.
Farah is starting to be more like Galen "I Duck" Rupp. And as any regular here knows, I have been a big Farah fan.

Well...Mo vs Lagat, Galen, and a bunch of other fast dudes is still a pretty good race. Mo v Kenenisa has the potential to be awesome...but to be honest I think I would enjoy it even more with confirmation that both are in killer shape.
Given the fields performance last year the 5k is a better race than the 10k.

My thoughts exactly. Come on Farah, quit stooping to the lowly pathetic levels of salazar's boy toy the rupper. You should be better than that. If you were actually sick and not just dodging the competition in true rupper fashion you wouldn't be in that 5K. This epitomizes the downfalls of track right here. Stephen Strasburg would never back out of pitching the night before a playoff game due to a supposed "illness" only to suit at third base anyways.

As of now, he is on the 5000m the start list, not the 10,000m one.
KB should sneakily switch to the 5000 too, then Farah will be trapped.

I'd be all for that type of stuff. Too many athletes dodge too much.
Would be funny if bekele switched and Farah then dropped.
bekele should sneakily pretend that he's switching to the the 5
and mo will slink back to the 10 unawares
you want more of that? wrote:
Man, I come here because very few other places aggregate the news the way they do, but I can't read a paragraph of theirs without cringing or wanting to punch them in the face.
Yes, journalistic savvy aside, the writing quality could be very much improved. It would go far toward giving the site the credibility it needs. That said, I doubt anything will happen, the bro culture is just too ingrained.

Rumor has it KB is, in fact, gonna switch.

You are either (a) incredibly ignorant of whom you are talking about or (b) have inside information about his current fitness level.
Which is it?
Next time you decide to call someone "incredibly ignorant" make sure that person doesn't predict exactly what is going to happen.
