Why did the 1500 go so slow?
Did Rupp finish the 5000?

The rest of the field waits for Oregon Project guys to dictate the pace.
The result is slow times and no standards.
WWPD ???
Answer: Pre would have pushed the pace from the gun and made everyone bleed!
Did Levins double in the 5000m? Did he finish?

Rupp stepped off...
No As = weak showing at Oxy after last year's abundance
If you want to see these guys running the A standard you'll have to wait until June 1st at Pre. They won't be able to dick around with all the elite Africans entered.

I think Aaron Braun did not wait for the Oregon Project guys...

good chance tonight's meet was tainted by Flotrack. Cain ran well, but she's in high school. technically, Flotrack doesn't cover high school so she was immune to their tainting
Total dud of a meet for the men. Some nice races for the women.
16 Webb, Alan Nike 13:46.53
That's the kind of race that ends careers.

I know it's early, but could Jerry's massive talented group be killing itself?

Good question. Those results came from:

Webb was dead before he got to Schumacher, so was German! Solinsky is recovering from his hammy being ripped off. Look at how well Evan Jager and Lopoz did today. More impressive than Alberto's guys.
Ritz looked terrific--vastly better than at any time last year. He had snap in his legs and must have run--I watched the race but I'm only half guessing--4:05 for the last 1600. I think he can do something big this year.

Braun led at 13:25 pace.
Those 'disappointing' 1500s yielded 37 sub-4 mile equivalent times (under 3:42). The might be the most I have ever seen.
Braun ran an honest race in a stacked field. Big ups for Brauny.

True, but he led by as much as 15m on his own.. You talk about Pre and what he would do, well Braun went out there and on his own went for it. Respect for not sitting behind the Oregon project guys..

He was 6th running 8 seconds faster than Payton.
Sal must have worked them really hard. I didn't think Mo was running. The only one who ran well was Levins. He just cut his mileage so he must have felt great. 5000 girls ran poorly as well . Tara has run 15:30?. Cain ran well but not with everyone in Park City.
