12x's 400 meters with a minute rest averaging 72's. Can I run a 4:45 mile? Recently did a 3x's a mile workout with 1:30 rest between. Mile spilts were 5:36,5:33 and 5:11.

I first ran 4:45 behind 8x440 w/ 220 jog all sub 70. So I would say the two are pretty close - your quarter workout probably being better if anything.
If you're really itching to know just race one mile. Then you'll know.
Or do this. One times 800 all-out in spikes. Rest 10 minutes. Repeat. Add the two together plus 5 seconds and that will tell you what you're mile should be. (don't forget to add 1.6 seconds for 1600 to Mile conversion.)
On second thought 5 seconds might be too ambitious. If you're at 4:45 range and aren't a long distance type add 13 seconds. This is totally unscientific but just intuitive. I don't know how hard you're 400 workout but if I could do that I would have to be in about 4:36 to 4:42 shape. So picture this workout. 2:16 800. 10 minutes rest. 2:16, ther's you're 4:45. You can do this right?
