You have that exactly backwards.
Eaton has shown to be VERY GOOD at various sport specific coordination and skills.
Lebron has only shown to be a beast at basketball.
I honestly do not mean any offense by this but you sound like someone who was never really very good at sports other than T&F or similar one-dimensional activities.
As kids, until people have to dedicate their lives to a particular sport to make it professionally, the best basketball players are the best football players are the best baseball players... Lebron is a superb, even freakish, athlete. He would be GREAT at any sport.
Ashton Eaton, on the other hand, is freakishly talented in his own way but it is uncertain as to whether that would translate into outstanding success in "real" sports (football, basketball, soccer, baseball...). My suspicion is that, while he would be a heck of a lot better than your average Joe at these sports he probably could never have made it to the big leagues in any of them. Why do I think that? Because if he could have made it in the NBA/NFL/MLB then he would have literally 1000 times the fame that he currently has and 20 times the money. As such, he probably would have taken that path if it was open to him.
