The only NE teams that have a chance (probably a very small one) is New Jersey or Ithaca.

I'm surprised COrtland state doesnt have a better team, isnt Jack Daniels their coach
since when is New Jersey or Ithaca in New England?
I was thinking North East (Atlantic)...not New England. Is there a New England Region. Sorry for the mix-up. Either way, the point was that New Jersey or Ithaca out of the east. It's all the same.
up until last year the New England region was along with the Midwest region the most competitive in d3 cross...New England has sent 5 teams to NCAA's the last few years, but this year will only send 4 because all 5 New England teams from last year pooped the bed at Nationals after having as many as 7 teams ranked in the top 25 during the season.
Hot Pants-
Who is going to be the toughest teams and individuals out of that region?
To anybody else...
Any dark horses (individuals or teams)out there for strong performances at nationals. What I mean is, don't just look at last years results and take out the seniors.
Hopefully, the prediction isn't that easy otherwise we have no reason to even run it this year...we will already know what is going to happen.
danny hot pants, aka the champ, you could clean up this year. you could make ithaca look like a bunch of proccos. come on and ride my pony.
do you care to interpret that mess? Anyways...
E-Town is in Flagstaff, AZ, as posted on this board.
What regions are picking up the extra spots that the midwest and the North east (or whatever it's called) lost?
I have thought they'd be a huge fav. to win nats this year, but I think they need to be a little more careful with their races. Last year they did 3 huge meets in a row (Griak, Notre Dame, Jim Drews) and in MOHO that is part of the reason they didn't run so well at nats.
the northeast region picked up a team with haverford and etown finishing in the top 16. i think new england lost a spot and the region with the wiac schools lost a team or two also.
Not to be a jerk but e-town's region is called the mideast region

I agree with you. I didn't consider that the caliber of race and NOT the quantity of races could be such a factor. Most teams/runners worry mainly about the quantity of races they do. I suppose Oshkosh may have burnt out through too many intense races.
yeah, what was i thinking... sorry. i did want to say mideast.
The point was the same. People out east get pissed when you screw up their name or lump them all together.
Who is the upset pick to win the Nat'l crown this year? Individually, that is.
RYAN BAK WINS D3 Cross title. MARK MILLER 2nd.
Bak and Miller are good picks. I really like Miller as an upset pick because he is a savvy veteran at the National meet. I am thinking Ryan Kleimenhagen is a good upset pick. He has been getting better and better with every season since last fall.
You could list about 4,000 viable candidates for indi champ this early in the season, so it's kind of pointless, but what the hey....
Stout
Kleimenhagen
Matt
Kreger
Miller
Ricco
Good point, I guess it is way too early. We DIII runners have nothing to do during the day, so we have to speculate. Maybe it is because the season is just around the corner.
Anybody want to throw any possible breakout seasons. Sort of call your shot type thing. Who will be a first time All-American this year??? Like Kleimenhagen, Kreger, & Emord of last year.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
