No one wants to lead. Braun abruptly slowed and everyone slowed with him. The group clumped and now the standard is looking unlikely.
Any more updates? Or is it completely disappointing?
St. Lawrence wins under the standard. Thompson just missed the standard by less than a second. Bumbalough fell off the back hard and was nowhere close in 27:56. Not sure what his deal is. Shows extraordinary promise in various events - a strong 1500 here, a 2 mile there, a 13:16 at 22 here, a strong kick there - but can't seem to pull it all together consistently. Really wanted to see him win today. Damn.

ben st lawrence wins- sorry didn't think anyone was reading
a few guys under the A standard- no Americans
Ryan vail 27:44
Quigley 27:50
Girma 27:52
chris thompson missed the A by .81 seconds
Good run by Ryan Vail. 7 second PR I believe and only 4 seconds shy of the A-standard. He really fought hard to try to stay with that top group in the last 5 laps or so
Great win by Ben! And also a fine run by Lara Tamsett. Both of them belong to Sean Williams's group in Sydney. Big kudos to him. Look out for some more great performances from his guys in the future!
I mean come on, Bumbi should not be getting beat by Ryan Vail, Aaron Braun, Sean Quigley, Girma Mecheso...I believe in the guy and think he has top 3 American potential, but I keep waiting for the light to go on and it seems like he has a penchant for underperforming. Am I just a jerk? Or is that true?
I was reading, thanks for your efforts.
Brownlee heat 2?
Too bad for Mack and Bumbalough.
Fast track , fast night , not many opportunities left.
How many americans do we have qualified with "a" standard ?
Iowa weather wont allow fast times in June at nationals.

Same as German, from one Dave Smith to another.
I want to add that I'm a huge Bumbalough supporter. I think he has a great attitude, has a ton of talent, and has been a little under the radar. But he doesn't quite seem to have the killer instinct or ability to withstand the pain or something...I'm pulling for him to make the team though. Come on Bumbi. And good for him trying a new distance. I bet it will make the next 5000 easier...
