I also have every mile split live on the screen.
It's because of this wonderful thing called taxes. We pay like 30 USD or so per month just for having a TV in our homes - or even watching BBC online - otherwise you get the Scottland Yard knocking on the door. Not a bad thing to pay taxes, oder?
nice try to politicize this, but you VOLUNTARILY pay for the BBC service--hence it is not because of taxes (because taxes aren't voluntary). If you live in Britain you can have a tv and channels without receiving BBC (you have to pay extra for it).
maybe if it was "free" you could use that argument, but you can't cause it's not.
try again next time.

All the men are still there as we're only just past 10k.
The women's race is past 25k and we're down to Edna Kiplagat, Florence Kiplagat, and Priscah Jeptoo. Those were the 3 favorites along with Tiki Gelana who fell in an accident with a wheelchair.
women 18 miles 1:37:00, 2:21:11 pace
gelana still in it, she did not drop out
I take back what I just typed. Patrick Makau dropped EARLY.
Florence Kiplagat now falling back so we're down to Edna Kiplagat and Jeptoo.
It's worth noting that the WR holder Makau isn't with the leaders at 10km.

2755 - 444.
32:40 - 445.
37:22-24- 442. Pace is pretty much perfect. 442 is what you want to settling into.
1:36 in and the wome'ns race is down to two.
Remember there were 3 sets of rabbits for men's race. Goal was 61:45, 63:00, 64:30 at 21.1K.
Does anyone think Makau just doesn't think anyone can hold 2:02 pace and is just being really tactical by staying back? He does have a pacemaker with him....
