    I think it's good that someone is posting pictures of what the US government does to civilians all over the world in the name of 'spreading democracy.'

    Obviously not a realistic answer, but ... just hold him in jail for a year and then figure out a way to affix him to the road just a few yards in front of next years start line in Hopkinton.

    This actually gets a little interesting in one sense depending on their beliefs.

    Obviously, most of us here feel that what they did was a horrific, vile act. Depending on their beliefs though, it's possible that what they did was, in their own minds, very moral and righteous.

    Now, read everything before you attack one line of mine, in their minds, we are punishing them and sentencing them for something they did that was virtuous. It brings up some interesting morality questions. Imagine you were visiting some other lands, and when there you returned what looked like a lost piece of jewelry to the owner, and were punished with the removal of your hand because you committed a very immoral, disgusting act. Naturally, you would be pretty horrified and confused. Another well known example would be Jesus, who the crowd basically wanted killed for preaching false beliefs (which he believed to be divine and true).

    The point here is that morality/justice/etc. are not really as black and white as people tend to view them, and people should at least pause and consider these situation fully.

    Where I draw the line is in how I judge them as people. Depending on their beliefs (which we may never know) I don't necessarily consider them evil people, though they did commit a very cruel, very horrific act.

    All that said, I do think they are 100% deserving of punishment to the fullest extent of the law. They both lived in America, understood how the law worked, knew that what they were doing was considered wrong and evil by Western morality, and still went ahead and did it.

    we dont even know if the government is just getting rid of those two because they really did it, or they had video of who really did it and it makes the government mad, because maybe the government could have been involved, or maybe they are hackers who know the truth and the government is trying to exterminate them?

    Is it possible that they might be guilty of another crime entirely, and acted as they did because they fear arrest for that crime?

    I suspect they way underestimated that they would get caught. Just blend in the crowd and thought that they would hang cool for a week. Someone (forgot the source) said they were supposed to fly to Russia on the 24th. Probly thought they could lay low til then and be off scott free in their homeland.

    I would like to see him go through the hospital where everyone he hurt is. He will be forced to apologize to every single person and their families.

    Then he should go to court, be put on trial by his peers and go through the justice system. Then he can be taken away to some prison for awhile...

    After Boston is old news he should be taken away, tortured and killed slowly!

    You are incorrect about that...this will be prosecuted as a federal crime and when convicted, he will get the death penalty just like Timothy McVey. AND THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!!!
