Tracy Lokken, age 47, ran 2:22.27 at Boston

Rumor had it that there was a slight headwind for much of the race, too. If that's true, then it's even more remarkable of a time when compared to the world record in the age group. Other than Joanie that may be one of the strongest graded performances of the day.

Tracy is an animal, love seeing him crank out huge efforts. Any word if he wore a shirt?

Why, is he known for shirtless racing? ;)

Extraordinary effort for the man from Marquette - where they KNOW winter. This might be the best he's ever done - considering his age ... and toss in what he has to train in all winter (as does JSamuelson in ME), great stuff!

My parents live in Tracy's hometown. They see him running EVERYWHERE and often doing form drills in the lower harbor and various places downtown. There is local physical therapy commercial airing right now in his hometown stating that he runs 120 MPW.

Tracy is big on two long run's per week: 16-18 miler in the middle of the week and longer run 21+ on the weekends...and runs up Marquette Mountain (or Mt. Marquette?) during the winter as some sort of threshold/strength workout.

Considering he trains completely alone and in the brutal winter, it makes his achievements pretty awesome.

I'd like to know where he ranks, too. You'd think it'd be all-time top 5 for age-group in US.

Good to know there is still hope for the old folks like myself. Kudos to him for going strong even at this age.

Thanks to TRT we will see a lot of guys stick with it well into their forties.

2:22.27 is rolling, but surprisingly only puts him outside of the top 20. likewise, i thought new 40 aussie lee troop's 2:17 would have put him up further. looks like masters depth in the marathon is greater than some other events...

WOW, that is flying. Props also to Malcolm Cambell. 2:23 I think.

It's inspirational even if you have no hope of running anywhere in the vicinity of 2:24 --the guy's advice is to just get out there

Considering the prevalence of TRT and other supplements/PED's in the masters crowd, was this poster ahead of his time in calling this out?

Recently an Instagram user by the name of “Sean Wade” was kinda in defense of the whole Cam Hanes doping case imo. He commented on my Instagram like I was in the wrong for Masters doping?
