AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
I remember this story when the subjects name was Brandon Leslie.
Cabada will likely retire and come back 2 more times in the next 3 years.
I ran into Fernando in a bar in Grand Rapids once and took a shot with him. Seemed like a cool guy.

Fernando Cabada is the sexiest runner ever!!
Not true. I'm way sexier ;D
I think hes making fun of ritz's performance at Chicago.
"Former Olympic hopeful". Ouch.
fantastic article on the front page,
"I run for many reasons now, not just myself," Cabada said. "I run for the poor kid, the one without confidence, for the kid raised by a single parent or the kid who gets picked on. I run for all the people who struggled in life at some point and who were born into a life already down."
truly inspirational! great to see him turn things around.
“It was time to be a man and make some money.” Cabada wouldn’t just be cashing in for himself; he would also help support his mother back home.
Looks like he wants to bring up the real man thing again.

If he had just quit once and never come back a la Chris Lukezic would that make him less of a quitter? Coming back after you've been knocked down multiple times shows real heart and I hope he kills it on Monday.
The quitting I was referring to was binge drinking....
Not sure how the race will go, but there will be one drunk a-hole full of himself on Monday night. Which will lead to him quitting drinking all over again when he does something stupid........ again.....
Pearl St. Necklace, you sound like one of the guys who's never done anything of value with their life, so they come on message boards and post anonymously about how everyone else sucks or is bad because it makes them feel better about themselves, when the reality is, whoever it is your talking negatively about - You are in fact talking about them. No one is talking about you, just the anonymous name you're hiding behind and the negative statements you feel the need to share.
The sad truth is, you could have not said anything at all, and nothing would have been lost - since your comments clearly didn't add to the conversation. You have not contributed to anything of substance here, so if there's anything you've done well - it's that. Good Job.
On a more positive, worthwhile note: It'd good to see Cabada really turning it around, he's been quiet for a while, and it appears that he's in shape and ready to race. I'm excited for him.
Are you in High School? Take some cultural competency classes or something. I feel bad for you!!

I was a college teammate of his and think it is a cool thing he is doing with the photo of Scott Dickinson. I have lost a lot of close friends in the Middle East, one whom is still alive and currently up for the medal of honor but has had life changing wounds a lot of people forget about the sacrifices that our military members make we dont get to spend holidays with our families we are always gone. Good luck Fernando and go get up on Monday!

You people disgust me. I suppose in this brave new world of yours there are no homosexuals because everyone likes both?

It continues to amaze me that there is actually a person behind your opinion.
