You mean the pathetically slow race where basically everyone was in it with a lap to go and he was nowhere close to winning or even medalling? That one?
no, theother one that went 26:50 pace after 2k.

Sorry for debating with you. I just realized it's not worth it as you know nothing about distance running.

Is that supposed to be impressive?

If you have ever seen Levins run you can tell he is more of say a rupp than a ben true or even chris derrick. what i mean by that is you can tell from his smooth, long running style rather than a choppy, efficient grinder style, that he is more of a track / grass xc type. This race is nothing like ncaa cross or a 10k on the track where big engines and smooth relaxed form prevails. This was a max effort to run as powerfully as possible and move forward from the first 400m. It was a true xc race, not neccasarily an indication of who would run the fastest half marathon or 10k right now. If it were a half marathon or 10k Cam would have finished closer to where you might expect.
Well said, plus the rumor that he might have been sick.

If 26:50 pace for the last 8k is not impressive, tell us what is.
Yes I've heard he was sick. One of the problems with pounding all those miles is that it can hurt your immune system.
That's what happened...
99% of you guys can't hang at 200km much less the distance I'm doing. ...
I thought he just got bronchitis before the race. That's what a friend on team Canada said. Don't know for sure though.

Hope he wasn't hurt.
Good run for Mo Ahmed in 22nd, though!

Im a big Levins fan but after a result like this he must be thinking 'Why am I doing all these miles?'
yea...because 1 bad race is a reason to question one's entire training philosophy...

The one that finished under 4 min for the last 1600 with a 52 last lap. Wake up Reynolds
Cam had been sick for 2 weeks and was on antibiotics right up to the race. 41st was a gutsy effort considering.
Really? He's always sick for the big races. Somebody chip in and buy him a bubble.
I wonder if he had the same thing my wife has. She gets sick before every single vacation... Like clockwork. I think her body tells her something.
hmmm. I thought it was that 300 mile cutdown week. Just didn't feel right on that reduced mileage.

Looks like from that video he may have IT issues as that's what he was stretching out.
I didn't see Ahmed in there? Where is he.

PS. pretty good harlem shake for the canadians if you are scared to click on it.

No wonder he had such a terrible run.
everybody seems to be thinking that all his miles have caught up to him. he is a world class athlete, he obviously knows how to peak properly. and this is the world XC championship so he did take it seriously. everyone has a bad race, people here need to calm down! one bad race does not make him a bad runner so quit tearing

4:07 and 54, but good try. Still impressive though.
