this has nothing to do with drug testing and everything to do with the conditions. whenever there are extreme conditions, the kenyans do poorly.

These were NOT extreme conditions. These were XC conditions as they should be. XC should not be run on an oversized dirt track.

Or on perfectly manicured golf course fairway-type grass.
Ok my post from yesterdays blunder on my part missed it by a day. LetsRun could not post results today , they are on site at the event ! It took many other post here to get the results.
Any good reporter , any average reporter , any intern for all that matters could post the results. If these clowns want to post the moniker of reporters or journalists , then please do the job !
Just remember Ethiopia didn't even have the likes of Gebremeskel, Gebremariam, either Bekele, or Gebrhiwet, who should have been in the senior race.
Silver's just fine as is.

No one ram all of their top guys. You race with the team you brought. And, lets face it, this race is a bigger deal to East Africans than others. Lets hope this result changes that.
Hey, this is LetsRun. People are not interested in facts here!

Only 6 runners at World XC. Not quite sure how you're adding up 7 places.

That's only because the A-D team are all running scared from the bio-passport and probably struggling for 'form'.

But you said they were protected
Go USA. Biggest thing to come from this race is the stigma of Ethiopians and Kenyans is how officially gone. Never understood why American kids could transition from hs to college and raise their game regardless who was competing, but couldn't do it from college to pro. Looks like that is now happening.
No reason these guys can't all be low 13/low 27 guys and competing for finals and medals at Olympics and world champs.
Great time to be a fan of USA running.

Exactly and it's not like Ethiopia is a winter lover's paradise! They won!!!!

They could be protected when the vast majority of the people following the sport thought they were all smiley, happy, innocent Africans who weren't genetically able to cheat.
Now we've had the German documentary, the failed tests, the admission by Kiptanui that Kenya had a massive filthy doping problem, the public perception is changing.
Off course, you've still got the silly fanboys like yourself and Douglas that are Lance-fan like in your defense of these cheaters, but the IAAF realise that now is the time to crack down. If not in a massive public way, but we're going to see it in the results.
What a feeling of Silver...awesome.
Emerald, thanks for the 1987 results. Some real finds in there, such as former St. Louis Cardinals All Pro Guard Konrad Dobler, who took up XC and ran for Germany after his NFL career ended. Really, Germany had the best names in those days (Axel Hardy, et al).
