Goes to show that nice guys don't always finish last ... although Cush came close, running dead last for the first lap-plus of the race before rebounding to finish 13th out of 18. Hey, fastest-ever American for age 45 is still, you know, age 45!
Great job, Cush!!!
Just another win for a guy who is on testosterone replacement.
Yes, this post will be deleted as soon as the first moderator sees it but really this is the truth and no surprise.
i, for one, hope the moderators leave it up. even though idiocy is not constitutionally protected, it's clear that it doesn't need to be since you've made it this far. that said, it's possible: kirkland, who supplies my gummy bear multivitamins, is uncomfortably too close to alsal in the northwest...
also, i can't believe this thread has been unearthed two years later. to answer a few questions: according to marcus dunbar, the oregon athlete was actually australian colin dalton.
best 400: 49.9 in practice--strangely it was the 3rd of 3 all out 400s with full recovery.
800: 1:49.38--slow compared to my mile/1500. i hated the 800.
3000: i think i ran it only once up in the bay area/san jose--coincidentally, the bruce jenner classic--8:09.31.
5000: i think i only ran this once as well--never in college, once at penn relays 1995--13:52.91. didn't run it again on the track until i was 41.
racing weight at peak fitness: about 138 lbs (now about 143-5).
i also like long walks on the beach, good craft beer, bad craft beer, crescent moons, and lucky charms, not necessarily in that order...
