Somewhat faster than that, in both times. Under 1:50 and at about 4:flat (rarely got to race it). Held one Oregon school record for a while, If I gave you times, it would be too easy to figure out who I "was", and I have no interest in that, this environment, and I'd have stated it from day 1. We'll leave it a mystery. But, you gotta know the training at Oregon was intense. I've often said that at one point we had 20 guys, who if all were trained for the mile for one year, could have run under 4:00 for the mile. The problem was...tons of guys got lost in the lack of coaches, and grinding to get to the level of the best guys. Just like a lot of schools at that time, there was a lot of over training going on...

I once, ONCE did 6x200 with 30 seconds rest, and hit all but one under 23.5. I thought that was pretty studly.
