Hinriksdottir's now run 2:00.49, along with 54 and 4:16, making the comparison better. Cain's run 1:59/4:04?/9:38. Cain took only one shot at a fast 800m last year. She likely could have run 1:58. At Pre, her sole goal was to break 2.

With Salazar being her mentor, Cain will break the Chinese records and finally put those behind us. She will also take down Kratochvilova's 1.53 to erase that suspect performance as well. As an age-group Junior (she has two years of this), since HS times really don't matter (and shouldn't even count for her as she doesn't do HS meets anymore), 1.55, 3.55, 8.25 (even Zola Budd ran 8.28 as a Junior). The latter two to break Mary (the doper) Slaney's senior US records as well.
In the next few years (before 2020, after which she will retire as Olympic Champion and go to Med school) she will run 1.52, 3.49, 8.05 and 13.59 (first woman under 3.50 and 14.00). These are certainties, bet on them, because AlSal is a genious.
The others (not coached by Al) like Ajee and Anita will stall out. Judd could get to similar levels if Al actually coaches her, but always behind Mary, since she is the Queen.
