Your point?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say his point was that the OP was wrong in saying that they're the same age.

Aníta Hinriksdóttir (born 13 January, 1996)
Mary C. Cain (born May 3, 1996)
Those extra four months clearly make all the difference.

As far as the IAAF is concerned, age, for the purpose of age-restricted records and championships, is determined by year of birth. And in any case their birthdays are
Whether or not they make the difference, you're missing the whole point.. They aren't the same age.
What's with the current rash of humpy/slumpy girls with stick arms and horrible form? (Including Judd, the Icelander and Cain). Painful on the eyes. Do they not have coaches? At least Alsal can possibly fix Cain up a bit.

No, if they are only 4 months apart, then they are the same age
Iceland is notorious for age cheaters. She's 25 years old if she's a day.

It doesn't matter, the point is the Icelandic girl and Cain are NOT the same age.
Ahh those are the exact same splits I just ran 2:03.mid with (I'm a guy though), I would not call them reasonable. A 33 last 200 should only be seen in the mile.
No two people are exactly the same age. Let's say they're age peers and move on.
She ran 2:04.72 in the semi-finals but didn't advance to the finals. Looks like her hard starts don't work well for her. Sub 60 first 400, dies pretty hard after that.

Iceland is awesome!
What an awesome runner.
She would be good at the 1500m and 5k as well.

I agree the title of the thread is misleading even if she is only are 4 months older. The reason it's misleading is because Mary Cain ran her 2:03 when she was barely 16. So what matters is how old Mary Cain was when she ran her 800M not their current ages, wait until Cain runs the 800 when she is 17 and then compare their times. The 800 M is not Cain's event. Her event is the 1500 in which she is way faster for races run at equivalent ages.
