Perhaps he will be sharing a cell with his brother

Winners both. If he can cry on cue as well as his brother, maybe he'll get off, too!
It seems a little odd to cremate a body that is at the center of a murder trial, when so many particulars are in dispute.

I thought the same thing. I understand the initial autopsy was done, but it's always possible they might need to come back to it. They just burned the evidence.
I call BS. If the prosecutors had presented this evidence it would have been game over - no bail, plea change, quick trial.
And to echo the other comments, quoting the Daily Mail is comparable to saying "I read on the Internet that...". I wouldn't trust the date they print on the top of each page. That said, if I were cop in SA and a 'journalist' approached me with fist full of rand, I'd say anything.
No reputable new source has confirmed this yet... My guess is that a family member was horrified at the way a head looks after being shot up and said it looked like it had been bashed. That said, this is like OJ all over again, the police are screwing this up left and right.
If you get shot in the head I'm presuming it fractures the skull bones and there is a good chance you are going to fall down and likely further bash your head on a hard surface(bathroom floor).
The evidence of this would be on the bat. Hair, bone, blood, etc would be imbedded in the bat. The bat is the key.
Run through what came up in court last week. I'm fairly certain that the cricket bat was used to break down the bathroom door and nothing else. Think it was while Botha was being questioned. The. have said, is notDaily Mail, as others have said, is not a reliable paper.

*I mean I'm fairly certain that the cricket bat came up and the prosecution was happy that it was only used to break down the door, rather than being fairly certain of how it was used by OP. I wouldn't have the foggiest what actually happened.
Why do people say 'I mean' a lot?

Reeva's landlord/roommate is saying the opposite, that she felt "caged in". Who knows what happens behind closed doors...

Yes, but this is Letsrun and this is Wejo, so what is your point?
There is no way that he hit her with the bat. That would be the most definitive fact of all and would have guaranteed no bail. Our papers are bad enough, but around the world there is no restrictions on scandal.

Hitler and Stalin had dinner with people, and Im sure they seemed relaxed also. The fact that Pistorius wasn't showing signs of being a murderer when he had dinner at someone's house means nothing.
This is not a terrible tragedy. This is an act of evil from a steroid raged man with a very bad temper. The meteorite that fell from the sky in Russia and killed people. Now, that is a tragedy. This Oscar Pistorius roid rage act is not a tragedy. It is evil.

Well. . . I suppose that reflects one relatively new usage of the term "tragedy," as some sort of catastrophic accident. In a more classical sense, the meteorite incident is not a tragedy at all; the Pistorius case may or may not be.
The "roid rage" angle of this seems awfully speculative to me. I'd rather bet on old-fashioned vices like jealousy and hubris.
I'm still waiting to hear about the lab tests on the "herbal remedy" with an injectable delivery system.

Gosh, Jason. I hadn't seen you in a while. Are you really back in Reno now?

i was called racist for talking about differences.
i want everybody to get along, and i think a step toward that is by being open about the disparities and looking for solutions.

While there I googled and quite a few US cities have higher murder rates than some S. Of course, they are also the segment of that society who live in nice houses and drive nice cars, again for a particular historical reason. There isn't much point burgling a house with nothing nice in, or carjacking a junker.
So the overall murder rate isn't going to tell you much when it is only a very small part of the population which suffers.
Except, if you go by the statistics, White South Africans are less likely to be murdered than any other race.
There may be a major problem with home invasions, but wealthy blacks are targetted to; and in reality, most murders in South Africa are, like the US, gang related. Think somewhere like Cape Town, where you can go out at night in the centre or Camps Bay or somewhere and be pretty safe, but the Cape Flats have the worst gang related violence in the country.
So if he was so worried about home invasions, WHY WAS HE SLEEPING WITH THE DOORS OPEN???
