And that's what makes this sport great! The predicted AR happened but NOT by one of the two guys who everyone THOUGHT it would happen for.

Is this guy welated to Chwis Sowinski?
The AR couldn't have gone to a more humble, hard working guy. Can't wait to see what he can do in the outdoor season and upcoming years. Way to represent the University of Iowa, Erik!

He's from WI first, WI > IA... Way to represent... WISCONSIN, Erik!
Erik was part of the Dyestat> TrackTalk.net diaspora.
Awesome Race for Sowinski! But try throwing in Loxsom and Harun Abda next year?? Abda won the 600 last year at Big tens in 1:15.82 45 mins after winning the 400m in 46.50 with a standing start!!!! Unreal.

LOL.
People were calling for an investigation when 1:42 guy Solomon ran 1:15 (which is ~1:46 in performance btw), but now with 1:45 guy Sowinski putting down 1:15 everyone is cool with it?
Gee, I wonder why the difference in perceptions?
The post was obviously just a joke about casual drug accusations on this site.
Hooray white guy.
he ran ONE second quicker at the Millrose than his college best
Anyone know what solomons first 200 was in?

It is a very good time, but not earth shattering, for a 400m sprinter is good for a low 46 or a low 1:46 800m runner. I would like to see the record get under 1:15 to make it more legit. With that said, Erik is obviously in good shape, this race translates to a solid 1:44 come outdoor.

Um, how?
I think it translates to a 1:15 indoors.
Did anyone else at the meet see the dude with the cardboard cutout Sowinski head? He was waving it before the race. I thought who the F is that. Looked like an Andy Murray head. Then POP American record. Kudos to Sowinski's pals and to Millrose organizers for picking out of the hat a last-minute replacement who could bust the hyped Solomon-Symmonds matchup.
Twitter reporting Paris Hilton called Erik for a date.
Sowinski, being of sound mind, declined.
Here are Sowinski's pals who made the trip and the giant Sowinski head. I believe that most, if not all, work with Erik at the running store named on his jersey.
