Is English a language you're even vaguely aware of or are you a martian? Or just on copious amounts of drain cleaner?

Canada Coach. I'll bet you 1 million dollars you can't beat him on your bike in a 100 or even a 200. Second. Using the name Canada Coach is laughable... don't you realize that Canadian athletes suck (besides Ben Johnson who was Canada's best athlete).
I guess the analogy went right over your head.
Rojo,
Is there anything wrong with your question (about the entry)?
Trailrunner13 - this is EXACTLY what I was thinking! Cheers!

It's very well this won't be that hard of a case to prove.
One piece of evidence will likely determine the whole thing.
The key question to me is - what time did the dead girl enter his place of residence?

How does a dead girl enter a bedroom, or any room for that matter?
I thought so.
The speaker is wondering when the dead girl literally entered the house.

If you've ever traveled to Africa, especially a country like SA or Kenya where you have some "wealthy" people (relatively speaking) and lots of poor people, you realize that armed robbery is much more of a threat than in the United States. I don't own a gun, but if I lived in a nice house in SA, I'd want a gun.
You cannot compare Kenya to South Africa.
Nairobi is a paradise.
If he were at least a one legged man in this butt kickin contest, he'd have a better chance.
Some good thoughts here in this thread, here are my 2ct:
1. the security cameras of the gated community should give a clear picture of when she entered the house. If she was with him all night then he will be judged to no less than 15 years (out in ~8)
2. even if she got into the house shortly before she was shot there is still a good chance that he will be sentenced for murder and not manslaughter
3. at this point, he will try everything to save his a.s.s - literallly. I don't think guys who kill their (model) girlfriends have a lot of fun in South African jail. One option may be playing the drug card. Blaming it on the roids...
4. He will never again step foot on a track, that's for sure

Honest question to the lawyers: will police and detention personnel confiscate his artificial limbs for his own and the safety of other inmates? This is an issue that would seem appropriate, yet cruel at the same time.
Nope.
Oscar gets a lot of attention on a running board for a guy who has never set a foot on the track.

Gated community with high walls, razor fence, and 24 hour guards. Are any of these false that I read about? because I'm trying to figure out the burglary angle from all that.
High walls, razor fence, 24 hour guards, alarms, and electric fences are all pretty much routine in middle class urban dwellings in South Africa.
And it is routine for those security measures to be defeated in deadly home invasions. The crime in South Africa is off the charts, in terms of frequency and violence, despite all the security efforts.
I obviously have no idea what happened in Pistorious' pad, except that it was bad. But the idea that he should or would have felt safe given all the security measures in place is completely wrong.
Other posters have pointed this out as well, but those posts are now some pages back in this thread, so it seemed worth repeating.

And the answer toward curbing this violence ina country with the most gun deaths (and guns per capita) in the world is....more guns

Wow did that ever go over that guy's head. Is there an IQ test for Lets Run?
Magistrate tells Pistorius to take seat. He does so. Head forward. Breathing heavily through tears.
Here's a detail no-one's mentioned yet - the shots were fired though a bathroom door. One other new detail is she suffered an injury to her hand, one presumes consistent with attempting to ward off danger. She's crying in the john, Pistorius pulls the slide outside the door, she hears it and throws up hands, bam. My opinion only.
"The Beeld newspaper, which first broke the dramatic news of his arrest on Thursday, said the shots that killed Steenkamp were fired through a bathroom door."
Alos, he spent a night on jail in 2009 for assaulting a 19yo female at a party. No word on nature of assault. Riiiight.
Link below, but The Australian (a truly exceptional news service provided you stay away from the politics section) usually have a paywall. Not sure why this story does not, but a few clicks might change their mind. Get while the getting's good.

Well I was only thinking about the case and the likelihood of the burglary angle pushed from the very beginning versus the domestic thing coming out at the time. You kind of just went off on your own tangent.
"Reuters was the first to report that she was shot while hiding behind a bathroom door.
News24.com reported that those four shots entered into the model's chest, pelvis, head and hand, rendering her unable to fight back against her angry loved one."
A real tough guy!
Supposedly police and guards were called to the house at 3am for a domestic dispute & She was shot at 4am
I know a few South Africans (borned there and migrated to the US and some still living there), both black and white:
every single one of them has been the victim of a crime before: most often is the red traffic light robbery. They all told me you should not stop at a traffic light in a shady area.
They just want your money but if you fight back they'll take your lives.
Never been there but besides the beauty of the country, it must be a horrible place to live in.
