When the police asked Oscar what happened he said "I am not sure, I am stumped!"

Just couldn't resist, could you?
Two families devastated, and that's what you come up with.
Even given SA's crime problems, he sounds paranoid-
Recent media interviews with Pistorius revealed he kept an assortment of weapons in his home, which lay behind the gates of a guarded estate.
In a profile published last year, Britain's Daily Mail wrote that one cricket bat and one baseball bat were kept stored behind his bedroom door, while a revolver lay by his bed and a machine gun by the window.

It's very well this won't be that hard of a case to prove.
One piece of evidence will likely determine the whole thing.
The key question to me is - what time did the dead girl enter his place of residence?

How does a dead girl enter a bedroom, or any room for that matter?
If you've ever traveled to Africa, especially a country like SA or Kenya where you have some "wealthy" people (relatively speaking) and lots of poor people, you realize that armed robbery is much more of a threat than in the United States. I don't own a gun, but if I lived in a nice house in SA, I'd want a gun.
sad times for runners - Sammy Wanjiru dies, Suzy Favor disgraced, Pistorius in jail probably and disgraced definitely ...
sad stories all.
Yeah, evidence would suggest that he dosen't have a leg to stand on.
Oh no. This is too sad.
agreed
Honest question to the lawyers: will police and detention personnel confiscate his artificial limbs for his own and the safety of other inmates? This is an issue that would seem appropriate, yet cruel at the same time.

Sammy is the only sad story in there.
If they can joke about it, so can we.
take a look at Oscar's dogs by the way, quite the animal arsenal

This whole story is shocking. I mean, what were the odds that a gun nut would end up either killing someone he knew or end up dead himself?? This never happens. One in a million chance. I think the problem was the woman wasn't armed. If she had been, this whole thing could have been avoided.
Well put!
Maybe Oscar wasn't the LEGend we thought he was!
Normally I'd say a double amputee isn't a flight risk, but in Oscar P's case...

Yes, it's wrong to laugh about this, but....damn you guys have come up with some good ones. Yes, the situation is tragic, but...... wit is wit, even when it's in bad taste.
I will also add:
MANY people on this thread have alluded to the fact that the crime rate (especially by blacks) in south africa is horrendous, therefore, it totally makes sense that Oscar would be well-armed and shooting first and asking questions later.
So....if it turns out to be an accident, are we blaming the black man for this?? 'Cause that sure sounds like what y'all are going for with that line of thinking.
I can see the headline now: White Man accidentally kills White Girl, Black Race charged.
And if it was Oscar just flat out murdering her.....can we STILL blame the black man? I mean, if there wasn't so much crime, Oscar might not have guns, and if he didn't have guns, he might have just smacked her instead of shooting her, so......(and I know that sounds like I am blaming guns in some way, but no, I would never do that)...... STILL kinda the black man's fault?? Right?
Agreed.
I wonder if he was legless during the incident?
