I think anyone with half a brain, and the picture given from the deadspin article can figure out the two girls here. You might as well name names.

No need because as you say, its easy to figure out who the girls are, so I'll presume you know.
you say: "There is no doubt Hadsell crossed the line" and then say "thats why we are all backing our old coach"
What does that mean to be "backing your old coach" especially when you acknolwedge he "crossed the line"
Please explain.
So does this mean I can't listen to Coffee Talk anymore?
Since you know Kevin so well... Do you have plans to find another coaching job somewhere... I mean does Kevin have plans to find another coaching job somewhere?
Here's the story according to Deadspin:
"Male coach demeans and makes uncomfortable his female athletes for a decade, but no one spoke up until now because they were afraid of ruining their running careers."
What a load of garbage. I bet you that, other than a few girls who had been on the team over the past decade, everyone loved him buying the team beer and helping them get the results they wanted and etcetera. The reason a few didn't want to speak up over the years is because they were afraid the other teammates would hate them. That's not to say he didn't creep out a few, didn't try to spark eating disorders, and didn't break the law. He was a bad dude, for sure.
It's the same kinda thing that happens in fraternities. There's rampant underage drinking, drug use, hazing, etc. that goes on in the houses, but most of the members like that culture. Then you have a few guys who don't like but are afraid to speak out because they'll be hated by the other 100 guys in the house.
In summary, I think he and the team members over the past decade are both at fault.

Whereas the number of INFORMED posters posting in defense of wassername must number in the hundreds, maybe thousands. Nice double standard.
One important thing you're ignoring or haven't picked up on is that it is possible, and in fact extremely easy, to selectively delete text messages from a two-way exchange. I know, because I just played around with it. Unlike e-mail, when someone sends a text, you can't tell for sure what text he or she was replying to with certainty (that is, there are no message headers). You have to guess based on context, which is usually but not always pretty easy. You should notice that there are parts of that text exchange where Hadsell seems to be talking to himself, and it's almost surely because there were in fact replies but they've been snipped out. And there is no "trash bin," when texts are deleted they are gone for good (not that someone couldn't just empty the trash if this wasn't the case)
Seriously, does anyone really think this young woman would just hand over her phone to the administration without taking steps to cover her own keester first? Hadsell is as guilty as the day is long of everything that cost him his job and he was acting like a 1st class libido driven shitbag. But whassername certainly made sure he paid for it, and by all appearances bent the truth to accomplish this.
Whoever said that he drove the van drunk back from Times Square can check the records and see that we actually had a bus with a sober bus driver. Yes, he was drunk. But he didn't drive us. That person lied about that so who else knows they lied about.
Two things from an unbiased outside perspective.
First, the Deadspin article said Hadsell had a lot of "power" in the running community. Realistically nobody in the running community outside of the MAC has any clue who the Toledo coach is and wouldn't care to find out.
Second, the article made it sound like Toledo was a national powerhouse. Winning the MAC and getting 28th at nationals is not anything to brag about, or going to create enemies jealous of your success.
Overall it seems like Hadsell and the Toledo team are a bit delusional about their level of success, and overall importance in the NCAA.

Actually I think that it's the f'tards and failed journalists who run sites like Deadspin who always want their lurid bullshit stories to seem more important than they are, and they do this by portraying their subjects as having bigger profiles than they do. You and I may know that U Toledo is nothing in the grand running scene, but the typical yokel Deadspin devotee would just assume that the article dealt with major players. I don't think anyone at the school has an inflated self importance complex.

I'm not gonna read through it again but I'm pretty sure he suggested in their text exchange that people were coming after him jealous of his program's success
Except that he was the...actual full fledged adult...employee of the school...authority figure...and should have been an example obeying the law etc.
Duh.

Hey, leave me out of this.
Also, you're an idiot.

A single guy coaching college age women... man that is bound to end up really bad.
So what is his conquest number? How many did he nail? Over the years?
Cos, that's his true legacy, his true W/L record.
Seems to be he was there to coach a little, party, control young women.
Really sick to see how many young women want to call themselves adults and able to make adult decisions.
You see there are sexual dynamics at play. This guy had found his fishing pound, regularly restocked, from which he could dip his pole.
So many of these girls...err, young women, thought they were so worldly and adult getting special adult attention from coach.
Just because you are 18 doesn't mean you are making the wisest choices in your life.

Live and learn. The coach, on the other hand, should have shown better judgment and practiced a modicum of self-control. He is the pariah in this situation not athletes.
Why is it that so many are rushing to pass judgment on these young women? Because it threatens the assumption of male authority and privilege?
Good riddance Hasdell! Good luck trying to live a normal life from now on. What goes around, comes around.
Not all of what he has done has been from this year. There have been numerous incidents of Hadsell driving drunk. Everyone knew it was wrong, at least those who weren't wrapped up in being his pet. Anytime someone would approach Hadsell about an issue with the way he handled this resulted in f-bombs and telling you that no one would believe you and that he was not going anywhere and he would die coaching at UT.
He preyed on the weak minded and got them to back him. If they took a step back from being his little puppy dogs, they would have realized the bulls**t he would try to pull. A lot of girls told of his issues during their exit interviews, but we can see how effective that was.
A serious question to the Hadsell/Vig type situations? What about a Volunteer Assistant coach who parties with the team and hooks up with one of the top female runners. He is basically our age and a big time runner. Is this different?

ehem. so...
1. Coach Hadsell did not ignore Emma for her "running on a scheduled day off". What really happened.. .and why he was telling her to "get it together" was simply because she was leading an unhealthy lifestyle involving an out of control eating disorder. She ran 3 times a day and her teammates had heard her throwing up after meals. Most NCAA teams won't even allow athletes to continue to compete if they know their athletes are unhealthy in that way, so in all actuality, he was doing her a favor.
2. Also, if this was going on years ago, as claimed by Emma, why wasn't something said then? Why now? What is the gain from this situation other than to cry wolf and for this ex-NCAA athlete to further her career by making a name for her? Pretty lame name if you ask me.
3. AND THIS IS THE BEST PART... I have seen those text messages. For anyone who has a smart phone, you do realize that you can go back and edit those text messages, right? You can even delete a whole chain of them to make it look like someone is saying something they are really not.
I am not going to sit here and claim things I don't know. I won't fight a battle without ammunition. But lets be honest here. It takes two to make something happen. What Coach Hadsell did was definitely out of line, and he is aware of that. What most people are failing to understand is that Emma is not a victim in this situation. Whatever her reasoning may be, she is tarnishing the man who made her for selfish reasons only.
THE TRUTH ALWAYS COMES OUT IN THE WASH. Give it time people. I promise you.

Any athlete or coach in the MAC has never had respect for him. Wherever this "power in the running community" stems from is fabricated.
More to the story:
You may be correct in your post but everyone knew that a former national level distance runner from the early 2000's that transferred into Toledo as a sophomore was shacking up with him while she was an undergraduate. And then he hired her on as an assistant even though she had no experience (coaching that is). I'm no prude but shacking up with one of your athletes is a difficult thing within a team atmosphere and can only lead to problems.
