Expert, you are correct obviously they need to be noted
However, you like me and many others have seen all kinds of conversion factors given different venue types.
The 200 banked tracks of today and we know which ones by now, are no slower than this one. I would dare say all the way to two miles and some folks will gringe at that.
But if anyone thinks at a mile that UW is faster than the BU track, just as an example? They just do not watch enough Track and Field or are stubborn.
When folks will bring up ND and the obvious DMR marks every year? That is just as much a function of comp and everyone loading up at the last chance as anything else.
Oregon ran 9:35 at the Armory with a huge 3+ second fall by Brett Johnson and with a Fleet 4:05 anchor, give Johnson his sure 2:53.5 and Mac Fleet runs sub 4 or 4 flat 1600 (or now anyone of 2-3 other guys?) and they run 9:27.x at the Armory first week in Feb. just as an example.
These 200M banked tracks are absurdly fast.
No completely eye opening marks in open races are run at UW or ND, nothing that you could not see coming anyway.
No one will run 9:27 this year at ND, I do not think.
