Ok the question begs; where in the world is Jenny B. Simpson? I haven't heard a peep about her all year. She seems to really hunker down and hide away.
Does anyone know what is going on with her since she went back to Boulder and Mark Wetmore?

She just tweeted how the air in boulder smelled like cow sh!t
It's the Winter Hiatus. Most in So Cal take off the winter months to finish their bachelors, CPA, MBA, Java 2 EE certification, etc.
Some in parts outside of So Cal do likewise.
2011 World Champion Jenny is chillin.
It's a big job for Jenny Barringer Simpson of the University of Colorado at Boulder to manage the riches she now enjoys as the 2011 IAAF Women's 1400 Meter World Champion.
She's just Jenny from the block. Probably been hitting Old Man Mags pretty hard and getting ready to destroy again in the Steeplechase.

I know! And the year's already 8 percent over! The nerve of her, shunning the media and her adoring if mentally deficient friends on Letsrun! YIP-YIP-YIP-YIP-YIP-YIP!
JBS is the sole US white-American distance World/Oly champion in 33 years since Orange High School's (Orange CA) Mary Decker. MFer! Give Jenny a respite to manage her investments, real estate portfolio, and Subaru 4WD.
she will never again do the steeplechase consistently. it was far too hard on her body.

Well that is too bad. I enjoyed her in the steeple. Epic battle with the Anna.
But what's with the hate filled vitriol from some of the other posters on here? Classic LR I guess. Anger, resentment, bitterness against what? Jenny B's grabbing the golden ring and running with it and enjoying the fruits of her labor.
Sorry for the ones who's life is evidently so lacking.
Boulder is the premier location for distance runners. The altitude, clean air, open spaces, facilities, coaches, running partners both international and domestic. Boulder is all that.

except on days like today - got dumped on last night, snow covered grounds, high of 30
most days are nice and sunny though
Jenny Simpson is the ONLY US white person in track that has won a gold in a WC/OG since Jeremy Wariner. White people just can't run. Just 4 from the entire United States since 1984. 4 out of 200 million.
Thats 1 per 50 million. 50 million white people can only produce one Gold medal in 26 running events since 1984.
Sorry there was one more...
Joan Benoit
SO only 5 in a WC/OG...
Joan Benoit
Mary Decker
Andrew Rock
Jenny Simpson
Jeremy Wariner
Dang white people...
Too bad poor Nick S. has to race in an era of absurd 800m talent. He'd have an outside shot in another time and place.
All of you jealous haters need to accept that CU is superior to all programs, Wetmore is superior to all coaches, and Jenny is superior to all runners. If you don't accept this you are jealous.
I've run with Steve Jones, Wells, Plaatjes, Goucher, Culpepper, Rono, Reese, Severy (RIP), Nelson, Ritz, Torres bros., Slattery, Found, Larson, Vaughn all of the big dogs, therefore I am superior to all of you too. Now GET OFF Jenny's back everyone!
(I kid, I kid! Thanks to "A Duck" for inspiration.
Before CU Buff Jenny's Gold Medal at 2011 Daegu, it had been 27 years since white American female distance medal had been won a a major track meet by fellow CU Buff and Southern California phemon, Mary Decker of Orange, California, who won double Golds at the 1983 Helsinki WC.
I would love to see her crawling around on her knees again
No xc this year?
prego.
