Not too bad a race after Cain "sat" on her butt earlier for her SAT.
such a smooth racer too. Let's the others (professionals) pull her along before she negative splits home - great awareness and confidence.
Her 2 miler next week could be under 9:40!!

The sooner flotrack goes down the better.
I hope they are soon history.
That list is meaningless, as a major percentage of the runners on that list are drug cheats.

those are freakin outdoor times, geez. I hate when people put outdoor lists on a thread when the time is an indoors time...

Can we automatically assume that there is no cheating in American runners?
Money talks, especially when big shoe companies are backing you.
What a joke WADA/USADA are letting Cain's phony times through!
why is her 4:11 1500 phony?

No, I am not saying that at all. I am saying that a large percentage of the names on that list are drug cheats. Who knows how many? We have been lied to so many times by athletes in ALL sports that it is hard to believe if any of the top runners are clean anymore. You are correct when big $$$ is involved people cheat.
We can assume that Cain is clean right now and I hope she has great success and stays away from the evil PEDs.

That is not true, if her body does not change she will break 4 minutes at some point.
But it probably will.

Have you seen pictures of her? She's already got her adult hips & thighs, so it doesn't appear too likely that her body is going to undergo any major changes. I'm sure she'll put on a bit more upper body weight as she does more weight/core work in order to improve her form.

if you are still wondering why Cain is skipping HS competition - she would have almost lapped the 'invitational' mile field winner today. (4:58)or she would have been 26 seconds ahead anyway.
Right, Mary was averaging 34 second laps. However, she is too young to be racing against adults. Where's the fire?
The outrageous times logged this past weekend at indoor meets prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that USA T&F is more doped up than MLB, NFL, WWE, UFC/MMA and Cycling combined.

New product being used is called EOPO-BOOST which is allowed so far because it is all natural...while not a synthetic drug, or actual doping, it still allegedly boosts your erythropoietin
levels. Side effects in years to come? Probably horrendous, but for now coaches/athletes don't care.
They advertise their product in Running Times.

So, in the summer of 1964 when Gerry Lindgren ran 13:44 as a high-schooler when no high-schooler before had ever broken 15, and when Jim Ryun ran a 3:39 1500 as a 16-year old, and Bob Schul ran the World Record for 2 miles in an obscure 2-mile race at Pierce College.....these guys were all doped up too?

It's amazing ... people were peeing their pants when Alan Webb smashed Ryuns record. But no one cares about this.
You are replying to a post about 'this' in a thread started just to talk about 'this'. I'm pretty sure someone cares about 'this'.
Rediculous! She is NOT going to run 4:25 at Milrose. It would be a trememdous accomplishment to see her take off 3 seconds MAX and get under 4:30. Where did Salazar ever say she is going to run 4:25 at Milrose?
