OK, so you and Rupp-Certified Butth0le are underwhelmed by a 3:50 in January. What WOULD impress you from a 5k/10k guy? Running a mile on water?
I already said it was impressive. Reading comprehension helps here.
I also said it's foolish to get excited about "all-time rankings" in what the rest of the world (everyone that matters in the 1500, sorry) sees as a fake event.
Fifth all-time means something -- means A LOT -- in real events. Not so much in the 1609 meters.
How about life comprehension?
The whole freaking sport doesn't mean squat in the USA, and to a lot of the world.
They keep an all time list for a reason.
A 10,000 guy being 5th on the list. Not bad.
Everyone else is appreciating it, and one idiot has to race in and downgrade it.
The rest, who appreciate a niche sport, are appreciating it...especially in a period where several groups are trying to reinvigorate the MILE.
All the smart running fans know where and how to place that mile performance. YOU were and are not needed.
Everyone else enjoyed it. Too bad you can't.
