Well, since he apparently recruited for the squad based on stupidity first and runnng ability second, it isn't so surprising

That's the most RIDICULOUS thing I have heard in this entire thread. Every single one of those girls Hadsell recruited fit into the Toledo blue collar life style. To be Toledo Tough and to work hard at becoming something great was what each one of those girls came to Toledo for. You are scum for even saying that about an amazing program Toledo has.

99% of the girls on the UT CC team are intelligent, hard-working, dedicated students. It is simply amazing what the program accomplished over the past four years. Hadsell obviously has a lot of issues and he deserves exactly what he got (really should have been fired). I don't understand why this situation is getting so blown out of proportion. I would parallel it with President Clinton and Monica Lewinsky and what happened with that? Hopefully the program will get a top notch coach who has a lot of class and the success of the program will continue. If you look at what the distance girls accomplished at last weeks meet, I think it will!

Coach Hadsell obviously screwed up. He admits that. He didn't handle the situation properly and he is more than paying for it now being that he is jobless and everyone thinks he is a monster sociopath that didn't care about his team. I don't think the punishment fits the crime.

And not all of it adds up if people would take a second to really think about it rather than believe everything they read. Doesn't anyone else think it it's a little suspicious that Emma decided to take action to get Coach Hadsell fired right when she had the opportunity to abandon Toledo and go pro? She didn't feel a connection to the team anymore being she was in her fifth year and wanted out.

She had a thing for Hadsell. Anyone on the team could see that was constantly vying for his attention. She found out about him being with someone else, got jealous, and wanted revenge. As a woman, I kind of understand that desire for revenge. Something like that would make you do something crazy. It just sucks that it meant ruining his life and marring the Toledo program, the same program she says she owes her success to.

So is Coach Hadsell a bad guy or victim? I think a little bit of both. It's not black and white, just like most things in life. He wasn't perfect and he admits that and always has. But I do think that he is a victim in the situation as well. But the truth is coming out in the news tonight or tomorrow so be on the look out all of you interested folk!

Likely a situation where good people sometimes do bad things. And yes, I said a rumor is news since 85% of what everyone is reporting on is rumor.

Hanson's has no idea what they got themselves into.

This poster is obviously Hadsell, as are quite a few of the other new nicknames on this thread. The guy is definitely a psycho. How he got to be a coach for so many years is a travesty. Hadsell, you're a creep. Go crawl back in your hole.

Both-there is absolutely no excuse for his actions and he paid for that. He had to have experiences in his life that make him the way he is, but as adults we are responsible for our own actions and he can not put blame on anyone but himself. He is responsible for his actions and the girls are responsible for theirs. We ALL have skeletons hanging in the closet as no one is perfect. Hopefully all involved will grow and learn from the situation and make better people out of themselves because of it. That is what life is all about!!
